3D transparent technology displays the developmental patterns of ductus arteriosus morphology in chicken embryos before and after birth

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
At the eighth week of human embryonic development, 3D transparent imaging enables clear visualization of the outflow tract's morphological features, revealing its anatomical components in detail. Abstract The ductus arteriosus (DA) is a critical fetal vascular structure that shunts blood from the pulmonary artery to the aorta, bypassing the non ...

Eggshell depigmentation in the late phase of production is associated with altered Microbiota and Metabolism of the uterus in laying hens

open access: yesPoultry Science
The significant depigmentation of brown eggshells occurs in the in the late-phase laying hens, which directly affects consumer acceptance. However, the biological mechanism of eggshell depigmentation based on uterine metabolism has not been elucidated ...

Effect of dietary seaweed powder and vitamin B2 on laying performance of laying hens

open access: yesSiliao yanjiu, 2021
The experiment studied the effect of seaweed powder and vitamin B2 on laying performance of laying hens. A 4×2 (seaweed powder × vitamin B2) completely random experiment design was used.

Effects of Broiler Breeder Age on Egg Quality, Incubation Performance, and Early Progeny Physiological and Muscle Fiber Development

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study evaluated the effects of breeder hen age on the incubation performance, embryonic development, and progeny quality of Cobb500 broiler breeders at 39, 51, and 69 weeks of age. A total of 870 eggs were collected, of which 810 were incubated; these were assigned to a completely randomized design with three treatments and nine ...

Effects of Dietary Activated Charcoal Supplementation on Performance, Egg Quality, and Bone Calcification in Laying Hens Exposed to High Fluoride

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The aim of the present study was to determine the effects of high dietary fluoride intake on performance, egg quality, serum biochemical parameters, bone tissue, mineral accumulation, and the expression of selected mineralisation‐related genes in laying hens, and to evaluate whether these effects could be alleviated by dietary activated ...

Dietary L‐Tyrosine Sustains Egg Production and Quality by Modulating Promoter CpG Methylation, Gene Expression, and Hormone Profiles in Reproductive Signalling Pathways of Aged Laying Hens

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Managing prolactin (PRL)‐mediated reproductive suppression is critical for maintaining egg production in commercial laying hens. L‐tyrosine (TYR), a precursor of dopamine (DA), may counteract age‐related reproductive decline by suppressing PRL, thereby sustaining productivity and egg quality in late‐phase laying hens.

The Origins of Fashion

open access: yesEvolutionary Anthropology: Issues, News, and Reviews, Volume 35, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper reconceptualizes fashion as a deep‐time system of bodily communication rather than a byproduct of modern consumer societies. We define fashion as a socially transmitted system of bodily display in which patterned variation occurs within shared conventions of appearance.

Disrupted Vestibular Nuclei Neuron Development in a Chick Model for Congenital Vestibular Disorders

open access: yesDevelopmental Neurobiology, Volume 86, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Children with syndromic, congenital vestibular disorders (CVDs) form a sac‐like inner ear with missing or truncated semicircular canals and experience delayed motor development with lifelong challenges to maintain posture and balance. How the abnormal inner ear affects downstream central vestibular neural circuitry has not been investigated ...

ASPSCR1: TFE3 Fusion‐Positive Epithelioid Angiomyolipoma/PEComa Lacking Melanocytic Markers: A Case Report

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, Volume 9, Issue 4, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Epithelioid angiomyolipoma is a rare perivascular epithelioid cell tumor subtype with malignant potential. Its morphology mimics renal cell carcinoma, posing diagnostic challenges. Half of these cases harbor TSC1/TSC2 alterations, and a small subset features TFE3 rearrangements, mutually exclusive of TSC mutations.
