Ca2+ translocation in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells

The Journal of Membrane Biology, 1979
Ca2+ uptake into Ehrlich ascites tumor cells was studied at 0 degrees C in the presence of mitochondrial inhibitors, conditions that minimized complications caused by sequestration of Ca2+ into organelles or by excretion. Under these conditions Ruthenium Red inhibited Ca2+ uptake, but other previously implicated ions, such as Pi or Mg2+, had no effect.

Heterophile antigens in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Experientia, 1962

Electrical properties of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Pflgers Archiv European Journal of Physiology, 1987
The cell membrane potential (PD) of Ehrlich ascites tumor cells was measured continuously at 37 degrees C with conventional microelectrodes during rapid alterations of extracellular fluid composition. At extracellular electrolyte composition mimicking the in vivo situation PD is -56.7 +/- 0.7 mV and the apparent membrane resistance is 62.2 +/- 2.2 M ...

Mannose toxicity in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Biochemistry and Cell Biology, 1989
Mannosephosphate isomerase (MPI) showed a higher activity than hexokinase (HKM) in its ability to phosphorylate mannose in the spleen, thymus, brain, liver, striated muscles, kidneys, and testes from BALB/c mice. This led to a HKM/MPI ratio of less than 1 in all the organs and tissues mentioned.

Nicotinamide deamidase in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Enzymology and Biological Oxidation, 1966
Summary Nicotinamide deamidase (nicotinamide amidohydrolase, EC 3.5.1.4) activity has been demonstrated in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells and in a variety of other malignant mammalian tissues. The enzyme is distinct from the deamidase of normal mammalian liver described earlier.

Magnesium pemoline and Ehrlich tumor: Tumor animal versus tumor cell survivals

Experientia, 1969

Phosphorus incorporation in the ehrlich ascites tumor cell

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 1971
AbstractData from isotopic uptake experiments were used to measure the kinetics of labelling of cellular phosphate, ATP and ADP in the Ehrlich ascites tumor cell. The results show that steady state phosphate exchange flux was 0.333 ± 0.052 (S.E.) μmoles per 107 cells per hour at 37°, and that the specific activity of phosphate was the same as Pγ ATP ...

Calcium transport in intact ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biomembranes, 1973
Abstract 1. 1. Ca 2+ transport by both intact ascites tumor cells and ascites cell mitochondria was studied spectrophotometrically using murexide, a metallochronic indicator of Ca 2+ concentrations. 2. 2. Ascites tumor cells can accumulate in vitro up to 30 μmoles of Ca 2+ per g dry wt within 3–4 min.

Mitochondrial Lipids of Ehrlich Lettré Ascites Tumor Cells

Oncology, 1970
Lipid composition of the mitochondria in Ehrlich Lettre Hyperdiploid (ELD) ascites tumor cells of Swiss mice was determined. The total lipid contained 19% neutral lipid and 81% phospholipid.

Solid Ehrlich tumor growth treatment by magnetic waves

Technology and Health Care, 2011
In this work the retardation of Ehrlich tumor growth implanted in mice was studied by employing 4.5 Hz magnetic field. Eighty female Balb/c mice were used, twenty as normal group; the other sixty mice were inoculated with Ehrlich tumor, then they were divided equally into three groups namely A, B and C.
