Calcium exchange in Ehrlich mouse ascites tumor cells

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biomembranes, 1967
Abstract 1. 1. The mean Ca2+ content of Ehrlich mouse ascites tumor cells was 0.131 μmole per 107 cells. 2. 2. Ca2+ addition to the cellular environment was unnecessary for the maintenance of high internal K+ content and low internal Na+ content. The Ca2+ content of the cell was also independent of the external Ca2+ concentration. 3.

Regulatory volume increase in Ehrlich ascites tumor cells

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Biomembranes, 1990
Ehrlich ascites tumor cells, shrunken as a result of KCl-depletion and Na+ loading, re-establish normal ionic concentrations by the combined activity of the Na+/K+ pump and the (2Cl- + K+ + Na+) cotransport system. Restoration of cell volume, however, correlates only with the increase in intracellular Cl-.

Modulation of tumor induced angiogenesis in Ehrlich ascites tumor.

Journal of experimental & clinical cancer research : CR, 2005
In this study the enzyme glutaminase, purified from the ascites fluid of ovarian cancer patients, was analysed for its antiangiogenic activity. Intraperitoneal administration of this enzyme reduces the number of tumor directed capillaries in solid and ascites tumor bearing Swiss mice induced by transplantation of Ehrlich ascites cells. The enzyme has a

A kinetic aspect of the antibody production against Ehrlich tumor cells in mice bearing Ehrlich solid tumor.

Gan, 1976
The number of cells producing the anti-Ehrlich tumor antibody (antibody against Ehrlich tumor cells) in the spleen of mice bearing Ehrlich solid tumor was counted by the modified Cunningham method, in which the sheep red blood cells were conjugated with extracted specific Ehrlich tumor antigen and used.
