Decision accuracy of simultaneously used real‐time CGM versus intermittently scanned CGM around exercise in type 1 diabetes: A secondary analysis of the ULTRAFLEXI‐1 study

open access: yesDiabetic Medicine, Volume 43, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract Aims Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems have become important technologies to improve glycaemia in people with type 1 diabetes (T1D). However, it has been shown that during rapid glucose change, sensor performance can deteriorate.

PFAS from a Discrete‐Event Terrestrial Source Migrates with Groundwater to Intertidal Seepages

open access: yesGroundwater, Volume 64, Issue 3, Page 323-334, May/June 2026.
PFAS is conveyed to the coastal intertidal zone from sources across the terrestrial landscape. Discharge of PFAS into the coastal ecosystem is complicated in space and time by the ongoing bi‐directional exchange of terrestrial groundwater and ocean water driven by tidal pumping within discharge areas.

Intra‐set rest preserves barbell velocity during a free‐weight back squat exercise by shifting energy system contribution

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 5, Page 2430-2437, 1 May 2026.
Abstract In this study, we compared acute metabolic responses and barbell velocity loss (VL) during cluster set (CS) versus traditional set (TS) resistance exercise. Six strength‐trained individuals completed two randomized crossover sessions of back squats. The CS protocol included 30 s intra‐set rest intervals after the second and fourth repetitions,

Pressurized Water reactor power level control: A nonlinear generalized predictive control with extended Kalman filter method

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
Reactor power level control is an effective way to achieve load tracking of Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) in a nuclear power station. A novel Nonlinear Generalized Predictive Control with Extended Kalman Filter (NGPC + EKF) is proposed to solve the ...

On Slope Attitude Angle Estimation for Mass-Production Range-Extended Electric Vehicles Based on the Extended Kalman Filter Approach

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
Since vehicle attitude cannot be readily measured, this paper designs a state observer based on the information available on the CAN bus. The attitude angle estimated in this way is not only robust in practical applications but can also replace an IMU ...

Application of Kalman filtering based on sequential processing for satellite navigation

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2012
In order to reduce the operational volume and ensure the real-time capability of navigation algorithm of Kalman filtering,a novel filtering method called single-satellite sequential extended Kalman filtering (S3EKF) was proposed based on extended Kalman ...

EKF-based SLAM fusing heterogeneous landmarks.

open access: yes, 2014
Visual SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping from Vision) concerns both the spatial and temporal fusion of sensory data in a map when moving a camera in an unknown environment. This paper concerns the construction of landmarks-based stochastic map, using Extended Kalman Filtering in order to fuse new observations in the map, when considering ...
