Robust control design of an electro-hydraulic actuator [PDF]

open access: yes2014 IEEE/ASME International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Mechatronics, 2014
The paper proposes a hierarchical control design of an electro-hydraulic actuator. The high-level hydromotor is modeled with a linear form with parametric uncertainty, while the low-level spool valve is modeled with a polynomial system. The subsystems require different control strategies.

Active Disturbance Rejection Position Synchronous Control of Dual-Hydraulic Actuators with Unknown Dead-Zones

open access: yesSensors, 2020
In this paper, an integrated control strategy of position synchronization control for dual-electro-hydraulic actuators with unknown dead-zones is proposed. The unified control scheme consists of two parts: One is adaptive dead-zone inverse controllers of

Motion Synchronization Control for a Large Civil Aircraft’s Hybrid Actuation System Using Fuzzy Logic-Based Control Techniques

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
The motion synchronization of the hybrid actuation system (composed of a servo-hydraulic actuator and an electro-mechanical actuator) is very important for all applications, especially for civil aircraft.

Energy and Operation Characteristics of Electric Excavator With Innovative Hydraulic-Electric Dual Power Drive Boom System

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2023
In the existing electric excavators, the energy efficiency of the hydraulic system is less than 30% due to a large amount of throttling loss and waste of potential energy.

Proportional–Integral–Derivative Controller Design Using an Advanced Lévy-Flight Salp Swarm Algorithm for Hydraulic Systems

open access: yesEnergies, 2020
To improve the control ability of proportional−integral−derivative (PID) controllers and increase the stability of force actuator systems, this paper introduces a PID controller based on the self-growing lévy-flight salp swarm algorithm (

DESIGN METHOD FOR ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC CONVERTERSOF AIRCRAFT ENGINES

open access: yesАвіаційно-космічна техніка та технологія, 2019
The main trends in the use of aircraft engines actuators, that convert electrical commands into mechanical and hydraulic, are presented. Examples of the use of modern engine control systems are described, in which hydraulic cylinders are used to move the

Identification Of Electro-Hydraulic Actuator Using Fractional Model [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems, 2016
Abstract Electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA system) identification is to describe the characteristic of the system that useful for prediction or control system design. There are numerous methods of EHA modeling but there has not been much model using fractional-order (FO) model. In this work, integer-order (IO) model

Active Load-Sensitive Electro-Hydrostatic Actuator for More Electric Aircraft

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
In the flight control system, using an electro-hydrostatic actuator (EHA) instead of the currently used relatively mature electro-hydraulic valve-controlled actuator, there are three prevailing concerns, namely heating, size, and stiffness.

Self-Tuning Control of an Electro-Hydraulic Actuator System [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal on Smart Sensing and Intelligent Systems, 2011
Abstract Due to time-varying effects in electro-hydraulic actuator (EHA) system parameters, a selftuning control algorithm using pole placement and recursive identification is presented. A discrete-time model is developed using system identification method to represent the EHA system and residual analysis is used for model validation.
