Electronic transport in DNA [PDF]
We study the electronic properties of DNA by way of a tight-binding model applied to four particular DNA sequences. The charge transfer properties are presented in terms of localization lengths (crudely speaking, the length over which electrons travel).

Correlated Electron Transport in Molecular Electronics [PDF]
Theoretical and experimental values to date for the resistances of single molecules commonly disagree by orders of magnitude. By reformulating the transport problem using boundary conditions suitable for correlated many-electron systems, we approach electron transport across molecules from a new standpoint.

Electronic transport through ordered and disordered graphene grain boundaries [PDF]
The evolution of electronic wave packets (WPs) through grain boundaries (GBs) of various structures in graphene was investigated by the numerical solution of the time-dependent Schrödinger equation. WPs were injected from a simulated STM tip placed above

Unconventional ferroelectricity in half-filling states of antiparallel stacking of twisted WSe2
We report on emergence of an abnormal electronic polarization in twisted double bilayer WSe2 in antiparallel interface stacking geometry, where local centrosymmetry of atomic registries at the twist interface does not favor the spontaneous electronic ...

Vortex of beam shift induced by mono-chiral interface states
If an electron beam hits onto the interface of a Weyl-node-mismatch junction, a shift of the beam center on the interface happens when the beam is reflected or transmitted, where the junction consists of two materials of the same Weyl semimetal and one ...

Electron Transport Properties of Graphene/WS2 Van Der Waals Heterojunctions
Van der Waals heterojunctions of two-dimensional atomic crystals are widely used to build functional devices due to their excellent optoelectronic properties, which are attracting more and more attention, and various methods have been developed to study ...

Tunable electronic transport properties of silicon-fullerene-linked nanowires: Semiconductor, conducting wire, and tunnel diode [PDF]
We explore the possibility of controllable tuning of the electronic transport properties of silicon-fullerene-linked nanowires by encapsulating guest atoms into their cages.

Passenger accumulator fed railcars in regional railway traffic [PDF]
This paper is focused on contemporary posibilities of replacement diesel-powered railcars by accumulator powered railcars in regional railway traffic. In the first part of the paper, there are described advantages and disadvantages of this replacement ...
