Assembling a True “Olympic Gel” From over 16 000 Combinatorial DNA Rings
Olympic gels are an elusive class of soft matter, consisting of molecular networks held together purely by mechanically interlocked rings. Their topological structure promises unique properties and functions, but their synthesis has proven notoriously difficult.

Stochastic modeling for the COMET-assay [PDF]
We present a stochastic model for single cell gel electrophoresis (COMET-assay) data. Essential is the use of point process structures, renewal theory and reduction to intensity histograms for further data ...

Orientation Engineering of MXene Flakes
Orientation engineering of MXene flakes refers to the transformation of disordered MXene flakes into ordered architectures with optimized multiphysical transport properties. Focusing on this topic, this review outlines key principles, characterization, fabrication strategies, and advanced applications of oriented MXene structures.

Development of high-performance two-dimensional gel electrophoresis for human hair shaft proteome.
The primary components of human hair shaft-keratin and keratin-associated proteins (KAPs), together with their cross-linked networks-are the underlying reason for its rigid structure.

Analytical performance of a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for preβ1-HDL in stabilized plasma
We have established an immunoassay for preβ1-HDL (the initial acceptor of cellular cholesterol) using a monoclonal antibody, MAb55201. Because preβ1-HDL is unstable during storage, fresh plasma must be used for preβ1-HDL measurements.

Subpopulations of liver coated vesicles resolved by preparative agarose gel electrophoresis. [PDF]
Rat liver clathrin coated vesicles (CVs) were separated into several distinct subpopulations using non-sieving concentrations of agarose, which allowed the separation of species differing primarily in surface charge.

Proteomic analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease [PDF]
So far, only the detection of 14-3-3 proteins in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) has been accepted as diagnostic criterion for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). However, this assay cannot be used for screening because of the high rate of false-positive results,

Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical
