An Improved Method for PAGE-based Detection of Phosphorylated Protein in Yeast

open access: yesBio-Protocol, 2012
One dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis has been successfully used to detect protein phosphorylation. This method is very simple and highly reproducible.

Electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel

open access: yes, 2021
For the separation of proteins by electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel, once the gel is prepared and the electrophoresis system assembled, the electrophoresis buffer will be added and the protein samples loaded to proceed with the electrophoresis, as ...

Analysis of mucosal mucins separated by SDS-urea agarose polyacrylamide composite gel electrophoresis

open access: yes, 2011
Efficient separation of mucins (200 kDa-2 MDa) was demonstrated using gradient SDS agarose/polyacrylamide composite gel electrophoresis (SDS-AgPAGE). Inclusion of urea (SDS-UAgPAGE) in the gels casting were shown to have no effect on the migration of ...

Agarose and Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis Methods for Molecular Mass Analysis of 5–500 kDa Hyaluronan

open access: yesAnalytical Biochemistry, 2011
Agarose and polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis systems for the molecular mass-dependent separation of hyaluronan (HA) in the size range of approximately 5–500 kDa have been investigated.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Apolipophorin III in locusts: purification and characterization.

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 1988
Three molecular species of apolipophorin III were purified from adult locust hemolymph by gel filtration and ion-exchange chromatography, and named apo-III-a, apo-III-b, and apo-III-c, respectively.

Assembly for electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel

open access: yes, 2021
For the separation of proteins by electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gel, once the gel is already prepared, the system where to perform the electrophoresis will be assembled, as explained in this video.https://media.upv.es/player/?id=65122530-8273-11eb ...

Rab14 regulates the transport of human papillomavirus to the trans‐Golgi network for infectious cell entry

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.
