On the general scaling theory for electrospraying
A systematic dimensional rationale is proposed here to analyse the electrohydro-dynamic equations governing liquid electrospraying phenomena in the well-known steady cone-jet mode with no ambient discharges. As a result, a general, unified description of the complete parametrical space for the emitted current and droplet size is given.

A Dual‐Emissive DNA‐Templated Silver Nanocluster with Near‐Infrared I and II Emission
This study presents a dual‐emissive DNA‐stabilized silver nanocluster with a nanosecond‐lived NIR‐I emission band and a microsecond‐lived NIR‐II emission band. Mass spectrometry establishes that the nanocluster has molecular formula (DNA)2[Ag17]11+. DNA sequence variations reveal critical nucleobases for stabilization, and modifications at the DNA 5 ...

A hydrogel‐based white light‐emitting (WLE) material is synthesized, where emission results from the synergistic interaction of two complementary dyes embedded in the polymer matrix. By tuning the monomer and cross‐linker composition, the system achieves balanced white light fluorescence with high transparency and flexibility, showcasing a matrix ...

In the presence of a Pd0 catalyst, large π‐extended arynes trimerize in an unusual manner to forge extremely compact and strained chiral benzenoids. This new trimerization reaction involves a 1,7‐Pd isomerization, a rare and poorly understood process that is elucidated.

A one‐step regioselective access to T‐Shaped and Z‐Shaped polyaromatics s‐tetrazines by a rhodium‐catalyzed oxidative CH o‐functionalization is reported. Electron‐rich aryl coupling partners display a higher reactivity than electron‐poor aryl, and allow the formation of poly(hetero)aromatic derivatives while avoiding 1,4‐azaphilic addition of the ...

Naphthalimide Derivatives as Film‐Based Fluorescent Sensors for Rapid Detection of Illicit Drugs
Four novel 1,8‐naphthalimide (NI) derivatives for the detection of illicit drugs with different substituents at the 4‐position are reported. Their contrasting fluorescence responses enables five illicit drugs to be distinguished from interferents with a mean classification accuracy of 81%.

A surface‐modified porous silica consisting of acetyl‐protected mannose residue and co‐precipitated urea compounds promotes a distinct resonance shift of 4‐nitrophenol under neutral conditions upon interaction, that is revealed by confocal Raman spectroscopy. The quinone‐type resonance structure is favored over the phenol‐type.
