Neutral particle Mass Spectrometry with Nanomechanical Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Current approaches to Mass Spectrometry (MS) require ionization of the analytes of interest. For high-mass species, the resulting charge state distribution can be complex and difficult to interpret correctly.

Continuous Near-Field Electrospraying Using a Glass Capillary Nozzle

open access: yesMicromachines, 2018
A continuous near-field electrospray process has been developed to deposit micropatterns. Different from traditional electrospray technologies, the nozzle-to-substrate distance was shortened to less than 5 mm, and a glass capillary nozzle with a diameter

Transport Properties of Electro-Sprayed Polytetrafluoroethylene Fibrous Layer Filled with Aerogels/Phase Change Materials

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2020
This work is the first attempt to prepare microporous polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fibrous layers embedded with aerogels/phase change materials. For preparation of this layer, the needle-less electrospray technology of water dispersion of individual ...

Electrospray synthesis of PLGA TIPS microspheres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We successfully demonstrate the synthesis of polymer microspheres using a single electrospray source, and show their physical characterisation. Electrospray has proven to be a versatile method to manufacture particles, giving tight control over size with

Mapping the Cytochrome C Folding Landscape [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The solution to the riddle of how a protein folds is encoded in the conformational energy landscape for the constituent polypeptide. Employing fluorescence energy transfer kinetics, we have mapped the S.

Identification of inhibitors of the Salmonella FraB deglycase, a drug target

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput screen was used to identify inhibitors of Salmonella FraB, a drug target. Characterization of top hits (identified after an additional counter screen) revealed that some triazolidines, thiadiazolidines, and triazolothiadiazoles are mixed‐type inhibitors of FraB.

Electrospray device [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
An electrospray device includes an electrospray emitter adapted to receive electrospray fluid; an extractor plate spaced from the electrospray emitter and having at least one aperture; and a power supply for applying a first voltage between the extractor

Mass spectrometry-directed synthesis of early–late sulfide-bridged heterobimetallic complexes from the metalloligand [Pt₂(PPh₃)₄(μ-S)₂] and oxo compounds of vanadium(V), molybdenum(VI) and uranium(VI) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The metalloligand [Pt₂(PPh₃)₄(μ-S)₂] has been found to react with the transition metal oxo compounds, ammonium metavanadate, sodium molybdate, and the actinide complex uranyl nitrate to give sulfide-bridged heterobimetallic complexes [Pt₂(PPh₃)₄(μ₃-S)₂VO(

Hot Electron Capture Dissociation Distinguishes Leucine from Isoleucine in a Novel Hemoglobin Variant, Hb Askew, β54(D5)Val→Ile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Population migration has led to the global dispersion of human hemoglobinopathies and has precipitated a need for their identification. An effective mass spectrometry-based procedure involves analysis of the intact α- and β-globin chains to determine ...
