Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Considerations on the Constructive Design of a Robotic Prehension Device Driven by Shape Memory Alloy Elements

open access: yesRobotica & Management
This paper presents the 3D model of a robotic prehension device driven by shape memory alloy elements, starting from the constructive-functional scheme. The 3D models of the device components are shown first, and then the device assembly in two variants:

A Convex Optimization-based Approach for Sidelobe Level Suppression and Null Control in Antenna Arrays by Displacing a Minimum Number of Elements

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology
This paper introduces two methods for peak sidelobe level (PSLL) reduction and null steering in the pattern of linear arrays using position control. While most research on this topic uses stochastic optimization techniques, here convex optimization and ...

Modelling Mobile Objects in Open Distributed Systems

open access: yes, 1995
ions Whole configurations should be treatable like single agents. This demands for hierarchies of nested object spaces which represent application structure. In the following, we briefly introduce the coordination model Objective Linda [5] which combines

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

A method to calibrate a specimen with strain gauges to measure force over the full-force range in high rate testing [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper investigates a new method to calibrate a tensile specimen with strain gauges to measure force over the full range of loading at intermediate strain rate for use in high rate testing.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

On the formulation of the planar ANCF triangular finite elements

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, new planar isoparametric triangular finite elements (FE) based on the absolute nodal coordinate formulation (ANCF) are developed. The proposed ANCF elements have six coordinates per node: two position coordinates that define the absolute ...

Circulating tumor cell viability during and after radiotherapy mirrors treatment response in cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy (RT) response depends on the DNA repair capacity of tumor and host cells. We show that circulating tumor cell (CTC) counts and apoptosis rates before and after RT predict treatment response and outcome, which can be accessed via easily accessible liquid biopsy approaches. Created in BioRender. Wikman, H.
