Aesculus hippocastanum L. seed extracts prepared according to pharmacopeial methods were comprehensively characterized using HPLC‐DAD‐ESI‐MSn and GC‐MS. Furthermore, a novel bubble pressure tensiometric approach and an HPLC‐DAD method were employed for the quantitative analysis of surface‐active components.
