Microstructural evaluation and mechanical properties of 7075 aluminum alloy prepared by controlled diffusion solidification [PDF]
In the present work, 7075 aluminum alloy (Al-Zn-Mg-Cu) was produced by both conventional casting (CC) and controlled diffusion solidification (CDS) methods.

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Synthetic transcription elongation factors license transcription across repressive chromatin
Chemical control of transcription Friedreich's ataxia, a devastating neurodegenerative disease with no effective therapy, is caused by an expansion of intronic repeats and hence a reduced expression of the FXN gene. Erwin et al.

On elongations of QTAG-modules
Abstract Mehdi studied (ω+k)-projective QTAG-modules with the help of their submodules contained in H k (M) (the submodule generated by the elements of exponents at most k). These modules contain nice submodules N contained in H k (M) such that M/N is a direct sum ...

Initiation with Elongator tRNAs [PDF]
In all domains of life, initiator tRNA functions exclusively at the first step of protein synthesis while elongator tRNAs extend the polypeptide chain. Unique features of initiator tRNA enable it to preferentially bind the ribosomal P site and initiate translation.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Coupling of RNA polymerase II transcription elongation with pre-mRNA splicing
Pre-mRNA maturation frequently occurs at the same time and place as transcription by RNA polymerase II (pol II). The co-transcriptionality of mRNA processing has permitted the evolution of mechanisms that functionally couple transcription elongation with

The MRP4 transporter exports several drugs and signaling molecules. Here, we identified key promoter elements regulating basal MRP4 expression. Using reporter assays, we defined a conserved region with essential Sp1 and contributory Ets sites, which controlled basal MRP4 expression.
