3. Emergence

open access: yes, 2008
Any phenomenon, any movement in the universe belongs to all 6 types of systems or processes simultaneously. We will now attempt to put the results into context, i.e.
About The Term "emergence

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Three essays on firms' emergence

open access: yes
This research explores firms’ emergence from bankruptcy in the context of firm size, managerial ability, and firm-level political risk. It addresses the key problem of why certain firms that file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy are more vulnerable to collapse ...

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Emergence, social capital and entrepreneurship: Understanding networks from the inside

open access: yes, 2011
Communities are a major research context for both social capital and entrepreneurship, and 'networks' is a core concept within both frameworks. There is need for conceptualizing network formation processes, and for qualitative studies of the relational ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Living evidence profile 7.3: Examining what is known about the emergence, transmission, and spectrum of the burden of disease of avian influenza A(H5Nx) subtypes

open access: yes
An overview of the best available research evidence from around the world (i.e., evidence syntheses) and local research evidence (i.e., single studies) and, if applicable, a scan of experiences from other countries and from Canadian provinces and ...

Seasonal Re-emergence of Sea Surface Temperature Anomalies in the North Atlantic: An Observational and Ocean Model Study

open access: yes, 2013
The aim of this thesis is to provide a more comprehensive and dynamic understanding of sea surface temperature anomaly (SSTA) re-emergence in the North Atlantic, by (a) re-evaluating the utility of re-emergence for sea surface temperature (SST ...
