ChemInform Abstract: Enantioselective Synthesis of Silacyclopentanes.
ChemInform, 2016AbstractFunctionalized silacyclopentanes are synthesized by enantioselective β‐elimination of silacyclopentene oxides and subsequent stereospecific transformations using a newly developed chiral lithium amide.

Enantioselective Synthesis of (−)-Pentalenene
Organic Letters, 2007A short, enantioselective synthesis of (-)-pentalenene is described. Catalytic enantioselective cyclopropenation with (R,R)-Rh2(OAc)(DPTI)3 was used to set the absolute stereochemistry, and an intramolecular Pauson-Khand reaction of the resulting cyclopropenyne was used to establish the quaternary center.

Enantioselective metabolism of cumene
Xenobiotica, 19921. The enantioselective metabolism of cumene (isopropylbenzene) was studied in intact rabbits. 2. Of the total 2-phenyl-1-propanol formed metabolically, 90.3% was shown by h.p.l.c. to be (R)-(+)-2-phenyl-1-propanol. The corresponding values for (S)-(+)-2-phenylpropanoic acid and (R)-(-)-2-hydroxy-2-phenylpropanoic acid were 99.0 and 81.0%, respectively.

Enantioselective Synthesis of Silanol
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2008An enantioselective nucleophilic substitution reaction of achiral dialkoxysilane has been developed. The reaction proceeds with efficient stereocontrol on the silicon chirality center to give the enantioenriched silyl ether, which can be converted to the silanol without loss of enantiopurity.

An enantioselective approach to (+)-laurencin
Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry, 2008A convergent enantioselective route to an advanced intermediate for the synthesis of the marine natural product (+)-laurencin has been developed. The methodology employs ring-opening of an ephedrine-based spiro-epoxide with a chiral secondary alcohol, hemiacetal allylation and ring closing metathesis as the key steps for elaboration of the ...
