Cannabichromene variation in hemp cultivars

open access: yesCrop Science, Volume 66, Issue 2, March/April 2026.
Abstract Cannabichromene (CBC) is a nonpsychoactive cannabinoid with pharmaceutical potential that is attracting significant interest for its potential therapeutic applications. However, the factors governing CBC production in Cannabis sativa remain largely unknown. This study aimed to investigate the variation in CBC accumulation within different Type

Stress Characteristics and Their Associations With Pain Intensity: An Ecological Momentary Assessment Study

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Pain, Volume 30, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background This study aimed to understand the associations between stress intensity, characteristics that trigger a physiological stress responses (Sense of lack of control, social evaluative Threat, Unpredictability, Novelty; STUN) and the experience of momentary pain intensity and its variability among adults living with chronic low back ...

Investigating Runner’s High: Changes in Mood and Endocannabinoid Concentrations after a 60 min Outdoor Run Considering Sex, Running Frequency, and Age

open access: yesSports
Runner’s high is a euphoric emotional state occurring during and post-physical exercise. Although previous data indicate endocannabinoids’ involvement in animal runner’s high, their role in human runner’s high remains to be established.

Milk Fat Globule Membrane Supplementation Attenuates Cognitive Impairment in APP/PS1 Mice via Suppressing Neuroinflammation in a Gut Microbiota‐Mediated Serum Resolvin D1/Anandamide Manner

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 2, March 2026.
MFGM modulated gut microbiota accompanied by the increased serum RVD1 and AEA levels, which subsequently regulated the miRNA profile. This modulation alleviated neuroinflammation via suppressing the NLRP3 inflammasome signaling and microglial activation, thereby attenuating AD‐related cognitive impairment both in vivo and in vitro.

Molecular Fingerprint of Endocannabinoid Signaling in the Developing Paraventricular Nucleus of the Hypothalamus as Revealed by Single-Cell RNA-Seq and In Situ Hybridization

open access: yesCells
The paraventricular nucleus of the hypothalamus (PVN) regulates, among others, the stress response, sexual behavior, and energy metabolism through its magnocellular and parvocellular neurosecretory cells.

Mechanism of Alfalfa in Enhancing Goose Egg Yolk Flavor: An Analysis Based on Metabolomics and Quantitative Lipidomics

open access: yesFood Frontiers, Volume 7, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Organic egg production requires daily provision of coarse feed, fresh or dried forage, and silage to poultry. This study employed flavoromics, metabolomics, and quantitative lipidomics to investigate the effects of replacing 0% (CK), 10% (T10), and 20% (T20) of the basal diet of laying geese with alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) on the sensory ...

Upstream CB1R Regulation of β‐Adrenergic Memory Consolidation

open access: yesHippocampus, Volume 36, Issue 2, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Object recognition memory (ORM) plays a key role in identifying familiar items and encoding episodic information. ORM consolidation depends on β‐adrenergic receptor (βAR) signaling and is associated with increased BDNF expression in the dorsal hippocampus.

Endogenous Dopamine and Endocannabinoid Signaling Mediate Cocaine-Induced Reversal of AMPAR Synaptic Potentiation in the Nucleus Accumbens Shell [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Repeated exposure to drugs of abuse alters the structure and function of neural circuits mediating reward, generating maladaptive plasticity in circuits critical for motivated behavior.

Chondroitin Sulfate Proteoglycans in CNS Development and Pathophysiology

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Research, Volume 104, Issue 3, March 2026.
Chondroitin sulfate proteoglycans (CSPGs) are critical components of the extracellular matrix in the central nervous system (CNS). In the developing CNS, CSPGs regulate neural precursor cells, neuronal migration, axon guidance, synapse organization, and peri‐neuronal net assembly.

Single oral administration of dronabinol increases ocular blood flow in patients with glaucoma

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, Volume 104, Issue 2, Page 225-232, March 2026.
Abstract Purpose Glaucoma is a leading cause of irreversible blindness globally, primarily driven by elevated intraocular pressure (IOP). Still, some patients progress despite significant IOP lowering, potentially due to impaired ocular blood flow. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dronabinol, a synthetic tetrahydrocannabinol derivative, on ...
