The Prevalence and Severity of Pain in Patients With Systemic Sclerosis
ABSTRACT We investigated pain prevalence and severity in systemic sclerosis (SSc) and patient–physician perceptions. This was an internet‐based survey that compared perceptions of pain type, location, severity, associated factors between patients with SSc and physicians, and pain treatment prescription patterns in Japan in March 2023.

Cardiovascular Plasticity and Adaptation of High‐Altitude Birds and Mammals
This schematic depicts the cardiovascular adaptations of mammals and birds to high‐altitude hypoxia. It highlights key phenotypic changes in oxygen transport and cardiac responses, driven by molecular mechanisms including transcriptional regulation and genetic modifications.

Adults with prenatal alcohol exposure (PAE) are at increased risk for metabolic, immune, and cardiovascular disease. Little is known about the contribution of PAE to cerebrovascular disease, specifically during middle age, a time when stroke incidence and severity typically increase.

Aerospace medicine required controlled terrestrial models to investigate influences of altered atmosphere conditions, such as hypoxia, on human health and performance. These models could potentially be expanded to encompass disease conditions or treatment targets regulated through hypoxia or hypercapnia.

Background Endothelial damage induces myofibrillar breakdown and muscle degradation in COVID‐19 infection. There is a relationship between increased endothelin‐1 synthesis and sarcopenia. We evaluated the preventive effect of early bosentan therapy as an

Abstract Background and Purpose TMEM16A Ca2+‐gated Cl− channels mediate depolarisation of contractile vascular cells. The anthelmintic niclosamide was reported to modulate the TMEM16A channel, suggesting possible repurposing for vascular pharmacology. Here, we investigate the mechanism of TMEM16A modulation by niclosamide and explore its effect on the ...
