A deleterious variant of FCHSD1 results in mTOR pathway overactivation and may cause porto‐sinusoidal vascular disorder (PSVD). The pedigree of the family demonstrated an autosomal dominant disease with variable expressivity. Whole‐genome sequencing and Sanger sequencing both validated the existence of the FCHSD1 variant and the heterozygosity of c ...

Diagram illustrating the binding methods of NPs and biological barriers. The biological carrier‐mediated nanomedicine hitchhiking strategy (BCM‐NHS) utilizes two distinct techniques: the surface‐based “Backpack” method, which relies on ligand‐receptor binding, covalent conjugation, and non‐covalent binding, and the encapsulated “Trojan horse” approach,

CD11b+CD43hiLy6Clo splenocyte‐derived macrophages exacerbate liver fibrosis via spleen–liver axis
A population of splenic monocytes migrate into the liver and shift to macrophages, which account for the exacerbation of liver fibrosis. Abstract Background and Aims Monocyte‐derived macrophages (MoMFs), a dominant population of hepatic macrophages under inflammation, play a crucial role in liver fibrosis progression.

Global weak solutions to a fractional Cahn-Hilliard cross-diffusion system in lymphangiogenesis [PDF]
A spectral-fractional Cahn-Hilliard cross-diffusion system, which describes the pre-patterning of lymphatic vessel morphology in collagen gels, is studied. The model consists of two higher-order quasilinear parabolic equations and describes the evolution of the fiber phase volume fraction and the solute concentration.

SEMS contributed to comparable outcomes including postoperative complications, mortality, and long‐term outcomes, but significantly reduced SSI. These findings support the broader adoption of SEMS in clinical practice, particularly requiring minimized invasiveness and improving patient quality of life are prioritized. Abstract Aim A diverting stoma (DS)

Connexin-45 is expressed in mouse lymphatic endothelium and required for lymphatic valve function.
The expression and functional relevance of the gap junction molecule connexin-45 (Cx45; GJC1) in lymphatic endothelium were not previously known. We found that Cx45 was expressed widely in the endothelium of murine lymphatics, in both valve and nonvalve regions.

Overall survival of patients who underwent surgical resection was significantly better compared to that of patients who underwent chemotherapy without surgical resection. These results highlight the benefit of surgical intervention to survival for patients with isolated para‐aortic lymph node metastasis or with resectable liver metastasis.

MLV$^2$-Net: Rater-Based Majority-Label Voting for Consistent Meningeal Lymphatic Vessel Segmentation [PDF]
Meningeal lymphatic vessels (MLVs) are responsible for the drainage of waste products from the human brain. An impairment in their functionality has been associated with aging as well as brain disorders like multiple sclerosis and Alzheimer's disease. However, MLVs have only recently been described for the first time in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI),

New immunomodulatory roles of lymphatic endothelium and implications for immunotherapy
The lymphatic system serves a critical role in fluid homeostasis, lipid metabolism and immune surveillance. The growing appreciation of its implication in various diseases challenges the conventional view of lymphatics as a passive transport system.
