Characterization of shale gas enrichment in the Wufeng Formation–Longmaxi Formation in the Sichuan Basin of China and evaluation of its geological construction–transformation evolution sequence

open access: yesJournal of Natural Gas Geoscience, 2017
Shale gas in Upper Ordovician Wufeng Formation–Lower Silurian Longmaxi Formation in the Sichuan Basin is one of the key strata being explored and developed in China, where shale gas reservoirs have been found in Fuling, Weiyuan, Changning and Zhaotong ...

Kinetics of Surface Enrichment: A Molecular Dynamics Study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We use molecular dynamics (MD) to study the kinetics of surface enrichment (SE) in a stable homogeneous mixture (AB), placed in contact with a surface which preferentially attracts A. The SE profiles show a characteristic double-exponential behavior with

Inhibiting stearoyl‐CoA desaturase suppresses bone metastatic prostate cancer by modulating cellular stress, mTOR signaling, and DNA damage response

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Bone metastasis in prostate cancer (PCa) patients is a clinical hurdle due to the poor understanding of the supportive bone microenvironment. Here, we identify stearoyl‐CoA desaturase (SCD) as a tumor‐promoting enzyme and potential therapeutic target in bone metastatic PCa.

Geochemical characteristics and their implication of light hydrocarbons in natural gas from the Lower Paleozoic carbonate reservoirs in the Daniudi gas field, Ordos Basin

open access: yesEnergy Exploration & Exploitation
The genetic types and source of the Lower Paleozoic natural gas in the Ordos Basin in China are controversial, and the geochemical characteristics of light hydrocarbons of natural gas in the fifth member of the Ordovician Majiagou Formation (O 1 m 5 ...

Origin and carbon isotope reversal of shale gas in Wufeng-Longmaxi formations, Sichuan Basin: implication from pyrolysis experiments

open access: yesShiyou shiyan dizhi, 2020
The Wufeng-Longmaxi shale in the Sichuan Basin is the only stratum in China to realize commercial development of shale gas. There are some differences in shale gas generation and a lack of direct experimental evidence of the reasons for these differences.

Nicotinamide N‐methyltransferase promotes drug resistance in lung cancer, as revealed by nascent proteomic profiling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
AZD9291 has shown promise in targeted cancer therapy but is limited by resistance. In this study, we employed metabolic labeling and LC–MS/MS to profile time‐resolved nascent protein perturbations, allowing dynamic tracking of drug‐responsive proteins. We demonstrated that increased NNMT expression is associated with drug resistance, highlighting NNMT ...

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Modes of occurrence and influencing factors of lithium in Li-rich coal from the Jungar coalfield, China, insights of LA-ICP-MS

open access: yesInternational Journal of Coal Science & Technology
Due to the limitations of widely used energy spectrum and spectral analyses for the determination of trace elements in coal, the modes of occurrence of Li still remains unclear.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Research on lower limit of TOC content for hydrocarbon expulsion and shale oil enrichment using carbon mass balance method: a case study of shale of lower submember of the third member of Paleogene Shahejie Formation in Jiyang Depression

open access: yesShiyou shiyan dizhi
Currently, research methods for determining the lower limit of total organic carbon (TOC) content for hydrocarbon expulsion from source rocks and for shale oil enrichment vary, and the determined lower limit values show significant differences.
