Enterococcus ureasiticus sp. nov. and Enterococcus quebecensis sp. nov., isolated from water
International Journal of Systematic and Evolutionary Microbiology, 2012Three enterococcal isolates, CCRI-16620, CCRI-16986T and CCRI-16985T, originating from water were characterized using morphological, biochemical and molecular taxonomic methods. 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis classified all three strains in the Enterococcus faecalis

Enterococcus dispar sp. nov. a new Enterococcus species from human sources
Letters in Applied Microbiology, 1991The partial 16S rRNA sequences of two unknown human enterococcal isolates were determined by reverse transcription in an attempt to clarify their taxonomic position. The sequence data indicate that they belong to a hitherto unknown species of Enterococcus, for which the name Enterococcus dispar sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is NCIMB 13000.
