The growth and envelopment processes of three representative herpesviruses, equine abortion, pseudorabies, and herpes simplex, were examined in baby hamster kidney (BHK 21/13) cells by bioassay (plaque-forming units) and electron microscopy. The envelopment process was identical for all three viruses.

Emily Dickinson’s Line Breaks in Her Envelope Poems
By taking a close look at the poems Emily Dickinson wrote, in the last fifteen years or so of her life, on envelopes (as gathered and transcribed in The Gorgeous Nothings, edited by Marta Werner and Jen Bervin), this article addresses the question of ...

In the author's PhD thesis (2019) universal envelopes were introduced as a tool for studying the continuously obtainable information on discontinuous functions. To any function $f \colon X \to Y$ between $\operatorname{qcb}_0$-spaces one can assign a so-called universal envelope which, in a well-defined sense, encodes all continuously obtainable ...

Structural Basis for Env Incorporation into HIV-1 Particles
During the late phase of the HIV-1 replication cycle, the Gag polyproteins are transported to the plasma membrane (PM) for assembly. Gag targeting and assembly on the PM is dependent on interactions between its matrix (MA) domain and phosphatidylinositol-

A Structural Update of Neutralizing Epitopes on the HIV Envelope, a Moving Target
Antibodies that can neutralize diverse HIV-1 strains develop in ~10–20% of HIV-1 infected individuals, and their elicitation is a goal of vaccine design.
