Development of a New Monoclonal Antibody against Brevetoxins in Oyster Samples Based on the Indirect Competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay

open access: yesFoods, 2021
The consumption of shellfish contaminated with brevetoxins, a family of ladder-frame polyether toxins formed during blooms of the marine dinoflagellate Karenia brevis, can cause neurotoxic poisoning, leading to gastroenteritis and neurotoxic effects.

Efficacy and Safety Analysis of Roxarestat in Regulating Renal Anemia in Patients on Maintenance Hemodialysis

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of roxarestat versus recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) in the management of renal anemia in patients undergoing maintenance hemodialysis. Methods This was a prospective, open‐label, randomized controlled trial.

Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay and Serologic Responses to Pneumocystis jiroveci

open access: yesEmerging Infectious Diseases, 2004
Seroepidemiologic studies of Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP) in humans have been limited by inadequate reagents. We have developed an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using three overlapping recombinant fragments of the human Pneumocystis major ...

Effects of the Fluid Replacement Method During Online Hemodiafiltration on the Solute Removal Performance and Biocompatibility Using the Asymmetric Cellulose Triacetate Membrane

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

Production of antisera against sterigmatocystin and its use in an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for sterigmatocystin in barley

open access: yes, 1986
An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the detection of 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol has been set up with an antiserum preparation raised against a bovine serum albumin - 3-acetyldeoxynivalenol hemiglutarate conjugate.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Pressure: a novel tool for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay procedure

open access: yesBioTechniques, 2009
The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique is the backbone of the diagnostic assay for detection of infectious and allergic diseases. Here, we demonstrate a unique ELISA method for the detection of an antigen or antibody, in which ELISA ...
