Long‐Term Safety and Efficacy of Mepolizumab in Eosinophilic Granulomatosis With Polyangiitis

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objectives Eosinophilic granulomatosis with polyangiitis (EGPA) is a rare, relapsing, inflammatory disease. Management of EGPA predominantly relies on oral corticosteroids (OCS), which are associated with many adverse effects. The Phase III MIRRA trial demonstrated efficacy and safety of mepolizumab, anti‐interleukin‐5 biologic, for EGPA.

Environmental exposure of the general population to cadmium as a risk factor of the damage to the nervous system: A critical review of current data

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 43, Issue 1, Page 66-88, January 2023., 2023
Abstract Nowadays, more and more attention has been focused on the risk of the neurotoxic action of cadmium (Cd) under environmental exposure. Due to the growing incidence of nervous system diseases, including neurodegenerative changes, and suggested involvement of Cd in their aetiopathogenesis, this review aimed to discuss critically this element ...

Diffusion and Multi-Domain Adaptation Methods for Eosinophil Segmentation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) represents a challenging condition for medical providers today. The cause is currently unknown, the impact on a patient's daily life is significant, and it is increasing in prevalence. Traditional approaches for medical image diagnosis such as standard deep learning algorithms are limited by the relatively small amount of
