The role of the EP2 receptor for prostaglandin E2 in mouse skin carcinogenesis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
textProstaglandin E2 (PGE2) is the major prostaglandin produced by COX enzymes in the skin and is reported to increase cAMP levels in human and rodent skin.

Mathematical models for the EP2 and EP4 signaling pathways and their crosstalk. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Theor Biol
G protein-coupled receptors EP2 and EP4 are both activated by the lipid messenger Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and induce the intracellular production of cyclic AMP (cAMP), ultimately affecting gene expression.

A pilot randomized controlled trial comparing McKenzie and stabilization exercises for non‐specific neck pain in females aged 18–50 years: Effects on proprioception, pain, disability, and deep neck flexor endurance

open access: yesIbrain, EarlyView.
This pilot RCT compared McKenzie and stabilization exercises for non‐specific neck pain in young females. Both interventions significantly reduced pain and disability while improving proprioception and endurance, with comparable efficacy across most outcomes, though McKenzie showed superior left rotation proprioception.

Prostaglandin receptors EP and FP are regulated by estradiol and progesterone in the uterus of ovariectomized rats

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2012
Background Prostaglandins are important for female reproduction. Prostaglandin-E2 acts via four different receptor subtypes, EP1, EP2, EP3 and EP4 whereas prostaglandin-F2alpha acts through FP.

Emotional Valence Influences Empathic Capacity in Adolescence and Young Adulthood

open access: yesJournal of Adolescence, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Previous research has identified age‐related differences in empathic abilities between adolescence and young adulthood. While cognitive empathy appears to continue to develop from adolescence and into adulthood, the developmental trajectory of affective empathy is less clear.

Prostanoid Receptor EP2 as a Therapeutic Target [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Chemistry, 2013
Cycoloxygenase-2 (COX-2) induction is prevalent in a variety of (brain and peripheral) injury models where COX-2 levels correlate with disease progression. Thus, COX-2 has been widely explored for anti-inflammatory therapy with COX-2 inhibitors, which proved to be effective in reducing the pain and inflammation in patients with arthritis and menstrual ...

The carrot extracellular lipid transfer protein EP2 [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
In many plant species embryos can develop from cultured somatic cells in a process referred to as somatic embryogenesis. Apart from their cellular origin somatic embryos develop through the same characteristic morphological stages, i.e.

Spinal inflammatory hyperalgesia is mediated by prostaglandin E receptors of the EP2 subtype. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Blockade of prostaglandin (PG) production by COX inhibitors is the treatment of choice for inflammatory pain but is also prone to severe side effects. Identification of signaling elements downstream of COX inhibition, particularly of PG receptor subtypes

Profiles of White Nationalist Beliefs and Parenting in Conservative Parents: Implications for Adolescent Beliefs and Well‐Being

open access: yesJournal of Adolescence, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Despite the growing threat of far‐right extremist and White nationalist beliefs in the United States, little is known about parenting factors associated with the development of these beliefs during adolescence. Using a person‐centered approach, this study examined how parental ideological beliefs, psychological control, and anger ...

Regulation of paired box 2 in breast cancer metastasis by EP2 receptor

open access: yes, 2022
Background: Pro-tumorigenic actions of prostaglandin E receptors (EP1-EP4) have been shown in breast cancer and other solid tumors. Evidence suggest that EP2 receptor contributed to breast cancer progression and metastasis through different signaling ...
