Effects of Green Tea Supplementation on Chemoprevention at Different Stages of Carcinogenesis: A Systematic Review

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Green tea catechins have chemopreventive potential; however, the clinical evidence remains inconsistent. This review evaluated the effects of supplementation with green tea derivatives on chemoprevention at different stages of carcinogenesis. PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, the Cochrane Library, CINAHL, and Google Scholar were searched

Protective Effect of Epigallocatechin‐3‐Gallate Against Fructose‐Induced Metabolic Associated Fatty Liver Disease in Mice by Regulating Ferroptosis and Autophagy via SIRT5

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Metabolic dysfunction‐associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) lacks effective pharmacological therapies and is strongly associated with excessive fructose consumption. Ferroptosis and autophagy dysregulation are increasingly recognized as key drivers of MAFLD progression.

Preparation and Stability of Whey Protein Isolation-high Acyl Gellan Gum Nanoparticles Loaded with EGCG

open access: yesLiang you shipin ke-ji
In this paper, the whey protein isolate (WPI) and gellan gum (GG) nanocomposites (WPI-GG) were prepared by ultrasonic treatment. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) was loaded through non-covalent interaction and the stability of EGCG was enhanced.

Monodisperse Condensed Tannin and Derived Carbon Nanospheres Featuring Well‐Defined Surface‐Structured Metal Species

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
Uniform, size‐tunable polyphenol nanospheres are assembled from condensed tannins in water at ambient conditions via controlled supramolecular interactions between tannin and diamines. Their phenolic–amine surfaces template highly dispersed metal species that resist sintering during pyrolysis.

Effect of Phenolic Hydroxyl Group Number on Regulation of the Self-Assembly Behavior of Edible Dock Protein and Catechins

open access: yesFoods
To investigate the effect of phenolic hydroxyl group number on the interaction between catechins and a plant-derived protein carrier, four catechins with varying hydroxyl numbers—epicatechin (EC), epicatechin gallate (ECG), epigallocatechin (EGC), and ...

Progress in bone tissue engineering biomaterials: Development, challenges, and prospects

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Scheme 1 Application of biomaterials in immunomodulation during bone tissue engineering. Abstract Bone defect repair remains a major clinical challenge in orthopedics. Over 2 million cases caused by trauma, tumors, and other factors occur annually, with large‐scale defects posing a particular bottleneck due to limited self‐healing capacity.

Computational and Biochemical Discovery of RSK2 as a Novel Target for Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG)

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2015
The most active anticancer component in green tea is epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG). Protein interaction with EGCG is a critical step for mediating the effects of EGCG on the regulation of various key molecules involved in signal transduction.
