Active Sites in Sn-Beta for Glucose Isomerization to Fructose and Epimerization to Mannose [PDF]

open access: yesACS Catalysis, 2014
Framework Lewis acidic tin sites in hydrophobic, pure-silica molecular sieves with the zeolite beta topology (Sn-Beta) have been reported previously to predominantly catalyze glucose−fructose isomerization via 1,2 intramolecular hydride shift in water ...

Epimerization of tilivalline

Tetrahedron, 1994
Abstract Epimerization of tilivalline (1) at the C11-position occurred by treatment with zinc chloride to give a mixture of 1 and its 11-epimer (epi-1) in a ratio of 83 : 17. The computational chemical analysis of the thermodynamic stability of 1 and epi-1 through MM3(92) also revealed the energetic preference of 1 and the calculated equilibrium ...

THE EPIMERIZATION OF DELCOSINE

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1961
Delcosine has been assigned tentatively the same C—N skeleton as lycoctonine. In lycoctonine, ring A carries at C-1 a methoxyl group which is directed away from the nitrogen ring. In delcosine, C-1 carries a hydroxyl group which has the opposite configuration and is directed towards the nitrogen.

Diastereodivergent De‐epimerization in Catalytic Asymmetric Allylic Alkylation [PDF]

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie - International Edition, 2012
Diastereomers made to order: In an unprecedented ligand-controlled process a racemic mixture of four stereoisomers can be converted with high selectivity into each one of the diastereomers of the product, at will (see scheme).

Chromatographic properties of the epimeric estriols

Journal of Chromatography A, 1971
Abstract Thin-layer and gas chromatographic methods to separate the epimeric estriols are described. Gas chromatography of the acetates provided separation of all four. Thin-layer chromatography on Silica Gel G separated the cis from the trans estriols. The trans epimers separated only on silica gel modified with ammonium bisulfate.

Epimerization in peptide thioester condensation

Journal of Peptide Science, 2012
Peptide segment couplings are now widely utilized in protein chemical synthesis. One of the key structures for the strategy is the peptide thioester. Peptide thioester condensation, in which a C‐terminal peptide thioester is selectively activated by silver ions then condensed with an amino component, is a powerful tool.

Epimerization of 6-bromoprogesterone

Steroids, 1986
Epimerization of 6-bromoprogesterone is observed by 1H NMR. The equilibrium constant K = 1.5 and the standard free-energy delta G = -241 cal/mol at 302 K.

Epimerization of moxalactam by albumin and simulation of in vivo epimerization by a physiologically based pharmacokinetic model

Chirality, 1999
We investigated the mechanism of epimerization (R to S or S to R) of moxalactam in serum of rats, dogs, and humans. The epimerization of moxalactam occurred in the serum of these animals, but not in the serum filtrate. The albumin fraction of human serum purified by gel filtration catalysed the epimerization of moxalactam at an identical rate to serum,

Kinetics of the epimeric glucocorticoid budesonide

Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics, 1984
Budesonide is a potent nonhalogenated glucocorticoid consisting of a 1/1 mixture of the two epimers 22R and 22S. The kinetics of these epimers were studied in six healthy male subjects after intravenous administration of 500 micrograms 3H-budesonide. Estimation of the epimer concentrations in plasma was made possible by development of an HPLC method ...
