Construction of a MOF‐Based Snap‐Top Delivery Nanosystem for Powerful Dual‐Responsive Synergistic Colitis Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A snap‐top delivery nanosystem based on an azobenzene metal–organic framework achieves targeted release of 6‐mercaptopurine via acid‐stable frameworks and hypoxia/pH dual‐responsive β‐cyclodextrin gates. This multifunctional platform integrates three synergistic mechanisms: precision drug delivery to inflammatory sites, intrinsic antioxidant properties

A Hydrogen‐Releasing Nanozyme Engineers a Mitochondrial ROS Amplifier for Self‐Sustaining Catalytic Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed a RhPd‐H nanozyme that integrates enhanced POD‐mimetic catalytic activity with thermally triggered H2 release. H2 shields and reprograms mitochondria to continuously leak endogenous ·O2−. This dual‐path ROS spatially and temporally disrupts redox homeostasis, inducing persistent oxidative stress for tumor suppression and antitumor immunity,

The g-Strained EPR Line Shape of Transition-Ion Complexes and Metalloproteins: Four Decades of Misunderstanding and Its Consequences

open access: yesMolecules
Analysis of the EPR of dilute transition-ion complexes and metalloproteins in random phases, such as frozen solutions, powders, glasses, and gels, requires a model for the spectral ‘powder’ shape.

Oxygen vacancies in Ru/TiO2 - drivers of low-temperature CO2 methanation assessed by multimodal operando spectroscopy

open access: yesiScience, 2022
Summary: Hydrogenation of CO2 is very attractive for transforming this greenhouse gas into valuable high energy density compounds. In this work, we developed a highly active and stable Ru/TiO2 catalyst for CO2 methanation prepared by a solgel method that

Biomimetic Polymerization of Tellurocysteine: Breaking the Natural Amino Acid Radioprotection Limitation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by natural amino acid polymer‐melanin systems, this study strategically incorporated tellurocysteine to develop advanced radiation‐shielding materials. This approach transformed the primary interaction mechanism between melanin‐based materials and incident photons from Compton scattering to the photoelectric effect. Tellurocysteine‐polymerized

Self‐Amplifying Redox Cycle Triggers Ferroptosis/Cuproptosis Synergy for Enhanced Bacterial Eradication

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study designs a targeted nanocomposite (ct@HMCF‐Dex) that responds to acidic infection microenvironments, releasing components which amplify oxidative stress. It disrupts bacterial redox balance, chelates metals to sustain lipid peroxidation, and synergistically induces cuproptosis/ferroptosis‐like death.

Nanocurvature‐Activated Dipolar Polarization in M–N4 Single‐Atom Sites for High‐Performance Electromagnetic Wave Absorption

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Increasing nanocurvature effectively enriches the local electron density of the M–N4 motif, which facilitates electron transfer from the metal center to nitrogen atoms. This electronic behavior intensifies the localization and asymmetric distribution of charge, thereby significantly amplifying the dipole moment and polarizability.
