CO on Pt(111) puzzle; A possible solution
CO adsorption on the Pt(111) surface is studied using first-principles methods. As found in a recent study [Feibelman, et al., J. Phys. Chem. B 105, 4018 (2001)], we find the preferred adsorption site within density functional theory to be the hollow ...

Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Measuring error rates in genomic perturbation screens: gold standards for human functional genomics
Technological advancement has opened the door to systematic genetics in mammalian cells. Genome‐scale loss‐of‐function screens can assay fitness defects induced by partial gene knockdown, using RNA interference, or complete gene knockout, using new ...

Cubature error bounds for analytic functions [PDF]
In this paper, two-dimensional cubature error bounds are developed. It is assumed that the function to be integrated is analytic, and that the domain of integration is contained in [ − 1 , 1 ] × [ − 1 , 1 ] [ - 1,1] \times [ - 1,1] .

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Performance of concatenated Reed-Solomon/Viterbi channel coding [PDF]
The concatenated Reed-Solomon (RS)/Viterbi coding system is reviewed. The performance of the system is analyzed and results are derived with a new simple approach. A functional model for the input RS symbol error probability is presented.
