Inpatient Food Insecurity and Pediatric Hematology Oncology Hospitalization Outcomes
ABSTRACT Children with cancer and blood disorders are at risk for food insecurity (FI). We aimed to describe the association of inpatient food insecurity (IFI) and hospitalization outcomes among patients admitted to the pediatric hematology oncology service. Of 325 caregivers screened for IFI, 60 (18.6%) screened positive.

Cellular site planners have long used propagation models for optimizing an architecture deployment strategy. The foundation of these models are a plethora of theoretical results that all contribute to a probabilistic understanding of this phenomenon.

MaxEnt assisted MaxLik tomography
Maximum likelihood estimation is a valuable tool often applied to inverse problems in quantum theory. Estimation from small data sets can, however, have non unique solutions.

Adaptive phase estimation is more accurate than non-adaptive phase estimation for continuous beams of light [PDF]
We consider the task of estimating the randomly fluctuating phase of a continuous-wave beam of light. Using the theory of quantum parameter estimation, we show that this can be done more accurately when feedback is used (adaptive phase estimation) than ...

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Prior knowledge‐based statistical estimation of linear false tracks in uniform distributed clutter
A large number of initialised false tracks in clutter environments will cause a heavy burden on the detection and track‐processing system. The quantity of initialised false tracks in clutter used to be estimated by experience or simulation, which lacks a

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

IPDDF: an improved precision dense descriptor based flow estimation
Large displacement optical flow algorithms are generally categorised into descriptor-based matching and pixel-based matching. Descriptor-based approaches are robust to geometric variation, however they have inherent localisation precision limitation due ...

Consistency of maximum likelihood estimation for some dynamical systems [PDF]
We consider the asymptotic consistency of maximum likelihood parameter estimation for dynamical systems observed with noise. Under suitable conditions on the dynamical systems and the observations, we show that maximum likelihood parameter estimation is ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
