It is known that estrogens act on the male reproductive tract by binding to estrogen receptors (ER) a and<br />b. However, studies on ER localization in the human testis are discordant.

Dynamic transcriptional events mediated by estrogen receptor alpha
17beta-estradiol (E2), the main circulating estrogen hormone, is involved in a wide variety of physiological functions ranging from the development to the maintenance of many tissues and organs. The effects of E2 on cells are primarily conveyed by the transcription factors, estrogen receptor (ER) alpha and beta.

Genetic and pharmacological inhibition of SLC11A1 functioning as an H+/Fe2+ antiporter–mediated lysosomal iron accumulation in microglia promotes lysosomal lumen acidification, increases CTSD expression, enhances lysosomal myelin debris uptake and degradation, and promotes repair following white matter stroke. ABSTRACT White matter stroke (WMS) results

Hypoxia, which is intimately associated with the biology of breast carcinomas, modulates the level of estrogen receptor (ER) alpha expression and transactivation. We investigated the effect of blocking ER degradation on ERalpha-mediated transactivation under hypoxic conditions using the proteasome inhibitor MG132.

This research identified cardiac amyloid pathology, neurotrophic factor depletion, and reduced myocardial nerve function in a transgenic model of cerebral amyloidosis (Tg2576), Aβ‐challenged cardiomyocytes, and in human AD heart tissue. These findings carry significant diagnostic and therapeutic implications, emphasizing the role of neuro‐signaling ...

This study reveals that m6A regulators cooperatively upregulate BGN in melanoma, promoting malignancy. Within the tumor microenvironment, CAFs show highest BGN expression. The BGN/MDK axis mediates cancer‐stroma crosstalk, driving normal fibroblast (NF) activation and enhancing the pro‐tumor effect of CAFs, highlighting a promising therapeutic target ...

Paving the Way to Elucidate Hg's Role in Tumorigenesis
Tumorigenesis can result from diverse environmental carcinogens. Among them, mercury—a lifelong bioaccumulative Group 2B carcinogen—has tumorigenic potential that remains poorly understood due to confounding co‐exposures and limited organ‐specific data.

Irgm1 Improves Postinfarction Cardiac Repair by Promoting Neutrophil Clearance and Efferocytosis
The Irgm1‐PDIA3 axis enhances post‐infarction cardiac repair by accelerating neutrophil clearance and facilitating efferocytosis. Irgm1 holds potential as a prognostic biomarker in MI, and LOC14 may represent a therapeutic option to improve cardiac repair, especially in cases of Irgm1 deficiency.
