New Applications of a Kind of Infinitesimal-Operator Lie Algebra

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2016
Applying some reduced Lie algebras of Lie symmetry operators of a Lie transformation group, we obtain an invariant of a second-order differential equation which can be generated by a Euler-Lagrange formulism.

Gaussian Process Regression-Based Fixed-Time Trajectory Tracking Control for Uncertain Euler–Lagrange Systems

open access: yesActuators
The fixed-time trajectory tracking control problem of the uncertain nonlinear Euler–Lagrange system is studied. To ensure the fast, high-precision trajectory tracking performance of this system, a non-singular terminal sliding-mode controller based on ...

Analysis and modeling of fractional Mandelbrot scaling for parameterization-invariant theories for mechanical systems

open access: yesPhysics Open
This study presents a comprehensive analysis and modeling framework that integrates Mandelbrot's fractal scaling with fractional variational principles to advance the understanding of parameterization-invariant theories for mechanical systems.

Nonholonomic systems as restricted Euler-Lagrange systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We recall the notion of a nonholonomic system by means of an example of classical mechanics, namely the vertical rolling disk. For a general mechanical system with nonholonomic constraints, we present a Lagrangian formulation of the nonholonomic and ...

LAGRANGE-HAMILTON MODEL FOR CONTROL AFFINE SYSTEMS WITH POSITIVE HOMOGENEOUS COST [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we give a new technique to obtain the Hamiltonian function in order to solve the driftless control affine systems (distributional systems) with positive homogeneous costs.
