The study considers the use of polymer/dielectric‐based multilayers piezoelectric Energy Harvesters (EH) to produce an output voltage and current, by exploiting the mechanical energy provided by human organs movements. In particular, the heart motion is considered from the kinematic viewpoint, and a multiphysics theoretical model is developed to assess

A codesign multiobjective optimization framework was developed to enhance the morphology and controller of a snake‐like robot driven by artificial muscles. It improved planar locomotion, agility, and power efficiency. The approach optimized link geometry and controller gains, revealing that shorter muscles near joints and longer linkages maximize ...

Fractional Euler-Lagrange Equations Applied to Oscillatory Systems
In this paper, we applied the Riemann-Liouville approach and the fractional Euler-Lagrange equations in order to obtain the fractional nonlinear dynamic equations involving two classical physical applications: “Simple Pendulum” and the “Spring-Mass ...

Low stratification of the complete Euler system
The present paper takes advantage of the concept of dissipative measure-valued solutions to show the rigorous derivation of the Euler-Boussinesq (EB) system that has been successfully used in various meteorological models. In particular, we show that EB system can be obtained as a singular limit of the complete Euler system.

An electrical interpretation of mechanical systems via the pseudo-inductor in the Brayton-Moser equations [PDF]
In this paper an analogy between mechanical and electrical systems is presented, where, in contrast to the traditional analogy, position dependence of the mass inertia matrix is allowed. In order to interpret the mechanical system in an electrical manner,

Exponential Euler-Maruyama scheme for simulation of stiff biochemical reaction systems [PDF]
In order to simulate stiff biochemical reaction systems, an explicit exponential Euler-Maruyama scheme is derived for multi-dimensional, non-commutative stochastic differential equations with a semilinear drift term.
