Large-scale lagovirus disease outbreaks in European brown hares (Lepus europaeus) in France caused by RHDV2 strains spatially shared with rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus)

open access: yesVeterinary Research, 2017
Rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) is a lagovirus that causes rabbit haemorrhagic disease (RHD) in European rabbits (Oryctolagus cuniculus). In 2010, a new genotype called RHDV2 emerged in France. It exhibits a larger host range than classical RHDV

The paradox of endangered European rabbits regarded as pests on the Iberian Peninsula: trends in subspecies matter

open access: yesEndangered Species Research, 2020
The European rabbit Oryctolagus cuniculus faces a paradoxical situation in its native range on the Iberian Peninsula. While many populations have declined sharply due to a new variant of the rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV-b), others remain ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Whole-Genome Sequencing-Based Population Genetic Analysis of Wild and Domestic Rabbit Breeds

open access: yesAnimals
The European rabbit exists in the wild and has several highly bred domesticated forms. There are well-separated wild European rabbit populations, and intensive breeding has resulted in various forms and utilizations.

A large‐scale assessment of European rabbit damage to agriculture in Spain [PDF]

open access: yesPest Management Science, 2017
AbstractBACKGROUNDNumerous small and medium‐sized mammal pests cause widespread and economically significant damage to crops all over the globe. However, most research on pest species has focused on accounts of the level of damage. There are fewer studies concentrating on the description of crop damage caused by pests at large geographical scales, or ...

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

TISSUE DISTRIBUTION AND RESIDUE DEPLETION OF FLUMEQUINE IN THE RABBIT

open access: yes, 2003
[EN] Flumequine is a fluoroquinolone derivative used in food-producing species to control systemic infections caused by susceptible microorganisms, in particular Gram negative species such as Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. and Pasteurella spp.

State of actin cytoskeleton and development of slow-frozen and vitrified rabbit pronuclear zygotes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
[EN] This study was focused on the effect of cryopreservation on the state of actin cytoskeleton and development of rabbit pronuclear zygotes. Zygotes were collected from superovulated females and immediately used for 1) slow-freezing in a solution ...
