Event-triggered detection of cyberattacks on load frequency control

open access: yesIET Cyber-Physical Systems, 2020
Modern power systems are extensively interlaced with data communication at various levels leading to increased vulnerability to cyberattacks at individual components as well as integrated controls.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Event-Triggered Pinning Control of Switching Networks [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems, 2015
This paper investigates event-triggered pinning control for the synchronization of complex networks of nonlinear dynamical systems. We consider networks described by time-varying weighted graphs and featuring generic linear interaction protocols. Sufficient conditions for the absence of Zeno behavior are derived and exponential convergence of a global ...

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Distributed Event-Triggered Control for Frequency Restoration in Islanded Microgrids with Reduced Trigger Condition Checking

open access: yesCSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems
For islanded microgrids (MGs), distributed control is regarded as a preferred alternative to centralized control for the frequency restoration of MGs. However, distributed control with successive communication restricts the efficiency and resilience of ...

Event-Triggered Control for the Stabilization of Probabilistic Boolean Control Networks

open access: yesComplexity, 2018
This paper realizes global stabilization for probabilistic Boolean control networks (PBCNs) with event-triggered state feedback control (ETSFC). Via the semitensor product (STP) of matrices, PBCNs with ETSFC are converted into discrete-time algebraic ...

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.
