Circular RNA expression landscapes in myelodysplastic neoplasms: Associations with mutational signatures and disease progression
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView. In this explorative study, the abundance of circular RNA molecules in bone marrow stem cells was found to be elevated in patients with high‐risk myelodysplastic neoplasms, and to be associated with an increased risk of progression to acute myeloid leukemia.Eileen Wedge, Morten Tulstrup, Gabriele Todisco, Pedro Moura, Christophe Côme, Jakob Werner Hansen, Jakob Schmidt Jespersen, Balthasar Schlotmann, Maria Creignou, Mette Dahl, Claudia Schöllkopf, Klas Raaschou‐Jensen, Krister Wennerberg, Bo Porse, Joachim Weischenfeldt, Eva Hellström‐Lindberg, Lasse Sommer Kristensen, Kirsten Grønbæk +17 morewiley +1 more sourceNetwork divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.Brian Nelson, Lyanne Delgado‐Coka, Natalia Marchenko, Luisa F. Molecular Oncology, EarlyView. This study reveals that cartilage oligomeric matrix protein (COMP) promotes epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EMT) in breast cancer. We identify PMEPA1 (protein TMEPAI) as a novel COMP‐binding partner that mediates EMT via binding to the TSP domains of COMP, establishing the COMP–PMEPA1 axis as a key EMT driver in breast cancer.Konstantinos S. , 2017 There has been a rising demand for 'evidence based practice' across the professional sector. What happens when we look at this from the other direction and consider 'practice based evidence' in herbal medicine?Green, J.core Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.Jonas Dohmen, Lucrezia De Santis, Bret M. , 2018 Udder cleft dermatitis (UCD) is a skin lesion in dairy cows affecting the anterior parts of the udder, with the lesions often needing a long time to heal. The lesions can be characterized as mild or severe. The etiology of UCD is not fully understood and Wilmink, J.M., van den Broek, J, Sietsma, S, Nielen, M, van Werven, T, dFAH AVR, LS Theoretische Epidemiologie, LS Evidence Based Vet Medicine +7 morecore +1 more sourceEDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas
Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated Donovan Pineau, Leonor Garcia, Hugo Arnold, Antonija Hanžek, Maialen Arrieta, Laurent R Gauthier, Christine Granotier‐Beckers, François D Boussin, Amaury Herbet, Marie Hautière, Valentin Asei‐Ceschino, Clémentin Jacques, Laura Brard, Thomas Harnois, Valérie Coronas, Bruno Constantin, Aurélien Chatelier, Jean Chemin, Serge Urbach, Martial Seveno, Szimonetta Hideg, Chantal Ripoll, Kasandra Aguilar‐Cázarez, Min Zheng, Guo‐Hao Huang, Sheng‐Qing Lv, Lei Zhang, Philippe Rondard, Laurent Prezeau, Jean‐Philippe Pin, Hugues Duffau, Luc Bauchet, Valérie Rigau, Franck Denat, Charles Truillet, Didier Boquet, Jean‐Philippe Hugnot +36 morewiley +1 more sourceHerbal medicine for the treatment of vascular dementia : an overview of scientific evidence

Molecular Oncology, EarlyView.Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer.
