Properties of exoglucanase from Aspergillus niger.
Exoglucanase (EC 3.2.1.91) was partially purified from Aspergillus niger. The enzyme was stable at room temperature in the pH range of 4.0-6.0 for 24h, with the optimum at 5.5. The enzyme had an optimum temperature of 50°C and a t1/2 at 65°C was 70min. Km and Vmax values were found to be 55.5mg/ml and 0.9μM/min, respectively.

Expression of the exoglucanase gene in yeast and hyphal forms ofCandida albicans [PDF]
The gene for the beta-(1,3) exoglucanase of Candida albicans was used as a probe to detect transcripts of related genes in C. albicans and in several other Candida species. A single homologous transcript was detected in all of the species tested. Expression of the exoglucanase gene in C.

Exoglucanase activities of the recombinant Clostridium thermocellum CelS, a major cellulosome component [PDF]
The recombinant CelS (rCelS), the most abundant catalytic subunit of the Clostridium thermocellum cellulosome, displayed typical exoglucanase characteristics, including (i) a preference for amorphous or crystalline cellulose over carboxymethyl cellulose, (ii) an inability to reduce the viscosity of a carboxymethyl cellulose solution, and (iii) the ...
