Experience-Based Co-Design: Tackling common challenges
There has been a surge in experience-based co-design (EBCD) efforts for quality improvement in health care and systems design globally. The authors identify common, shared challenges with using EBCD and their subsequent impact.

Encouraging Effective Group Work: The pedagogical challenges involved in designing a staff workshop [PDF]
This paper discusses two main pedagogical challenges involved in designing a workshop for staff in the Schools of Arts and Social Sciences. While it may be simple to prepare a linear, teacher-driven presentation which can be delivered to an audience of ...

Model-based Design of Experiments for Large Dataset
The first part of this thesis presents the motivation for adapting ideas and methods from the theory of the model-based optimal design of experiments in the context of Big Data while guarding against different sources of bias. In particular, the key focus is on the issue of guarding against bias from confounders and how to use the theory of the design ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...
