When designing rotor systems, development costs and the number of trial production runs must be minimised. To do so, the optimum structure must be found by combining CAE optimisation tools during the initial stages of development. We propose a low-response magnification design method for process compressor rotor systems supported by damper bearings ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Evaluation of superalloy heavy-duty grinding based on multivariate tests [PDF]
The quality and economy of grinding depend on proper selection of grinding conditions for the materials to be ground. In order to evaluate the effect of heavy-duty grinding, a new performance index, which includes specific material removal rate, size ...

Single circulating tumor cells (sCTCs) from high‐grade serous ovarian cancer patients were enriched, imaged, and genomically profiled using WGA and NGS at different time points during treatment. sCTCs revealed enrichment of alterations in Chromosomes 2, 7, and 12 as well as persistent or emerging oncogenic CNAs, supporting sCTC identity.

Reliability approach to rotating-component design [PDF]
A probabilistic methodology for designing rotating mechanical components using reliability to relate stress to strength is explained. The experimental test machines and data obtained for steel to verify this methodology are described. A sample mechanical

Etoposide induces DNA damage, activating p53‐dependent apoptosis via caspase‐3/7, which cleaves PARP1. Dammarenediol II enhances this apoptotic pathway by suppressing O‐GlcNAc transferase activity, further decreasing O‐GlcNAcylation. The reduction in O‐GlcNAc levels boosts p53‐driven apoptosis and influences the Akt/GSK3β/mTOR signaling pathway ...

Experimental methodology for analysis of influence of dental implant design on load transfer [PDF]
Deformations in the vicinity of dental implants are affected by their design and if threshold level of 0.3 % is surpassed, bone resorption could occur. The goal of this study is to present a novel experimental approch for the analysis of effect od dental
