Neutrophil extracellular traps inhibit osteoclastogenesis
Biochemical and Biophysical Research CommunicationsNeutrophil extracellular traps (NETs) released by neutrophils upon inflammation or infection, act as an innate immune defense against pathogens. NETs also influence inflammatory responses and cell differentiation in host cells. Osteoclasts, which are derived from myeloid stem cells, are critical for the bone remodeling by destroying bone.
