A Note on Applications of Stochastic Ordering to Control Problems in Insurance and Finance
We consider a controlled diffusion process $(X_t)_{t\ge 0}$ where the controller is allowed to choose the drift $\mu_t$ and the volatility $\sigma_t$ from a set $\K(x) \subset \R\times (0,\infty)$ when $X_t=x$.

This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Extremal solutions of measure differential equations
The paper concerns the existence of the least and the greatest solutions for measure differential equations. The relationship with the notions of lower and upper solution is also investigated. Interesting examples are provided to motivate the key assumptions in each result.

Strength through diversity: how cancers thrive when clones cooperate
Intratumor heterogeneity can offer direct benefits to the tumor through cooperation between different clones. In this review, Kuiken et al. discuss existing evidence for clonal cooperativity to identify overarching principles, and highlight how novel technological developments could address remaining open questions.

Extremal solutions for measure differential inclusions via Stieltjes derivatives
Stieltjes derivatives represent a new unification of discrete and continuous calculus consisting in a differentiation process with respect to a given non-decreasing function g.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Particle acceleration near a rotating charged black hole in 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity
We investigate the horizon structure and ergosphere in a charged rotating black hole within 4D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity, which introduces additional parameters (Q) because of the charge and Gauss-Bonnet parameter (β), besides the mass (M) and ...

Regularity of stable solutions to semilinear elliptic equations on Riemannian models
We consider the reaction-diffusion problem -Δgu = f(u) in ℬR with zero Dirichlet boundary condition, posed in a geodesic ball ℬR with radius R of a Riemannian model (M,g).

Global geometry of two-dimensional charged black holes
The semiclassical geometry of charged black holes is studied in the context of a two-dimensional dilaton gravity model where effects due to pair-creation of charged particles can be included in a systematic way.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.
