Sectoral evidence on Indonesian economic performance after the pandemic

open access: yesAsia and the Global Economy, 2023
The Indonesian economy has a long history of steady growth punctuated by times of turmoil and crisis. Recently Indonesia has faced the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation, contractionary U.S. monetary policy, and fluctuating commodity prices. To examine how the

Cosmic string parameter constraints and model analysis using small scale Cosmic Microwave Background data

open access: yes, 2011
We present a significant update of the constraints on the Abelian Higgs cosmic string tension by cosmic microwave background (CMB) data, enabled both by the use of new high-resolution CMB data from suborbital experiments as well as the latest results of ...

Time-dependent cosmological constant in the Jackiw-Teitelboim cosmology [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We study the obtainment of a time-dependent cosmological constant at D=2 in a model based on the Jackiw-Teitelboim cosmology. We show that the cosmological term goes to zero asymptotically and can induce a nonsingular behavior at the origin.Comment: 4 ...

Combinatorial antitumor effects of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase inhibitor NLG919 and paclitaxel in a murine B16-F10 melanoma model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Immunopathology and Pharmacology, 2017
Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) is involved in tumor immune escape and resistance to chemotherapy, and is clinically correlated with tumor progression.

Tunable Enhancement of T Cell Expansion Through Modulation of Stiffness and Adhesion Receptor Engagement in an Engineered Hydrogel Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a hydrogel scaffold with controlled substrate stiffness and ligand functionalization for cell culture. Stiff substrates presenting CD3/CD28/CD2 ligands induce 2000‐fold expansion of T cells; this is 68% greater than the clinical standard (Dynabeads) and the first hydrogel capable of large‐scale expansion. Although expanding at a lower yield,

Solar UV Temporal Variations During Solar Cycle 22 and the Twentieth Century [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Solar ultraviolet measurements of the Mg II core-to-wing ratio from the NOAA9 satellite show a fast rise for solar cycle 22 from the minimum in September 1986. The high values in late 1989 are comparable to the maximum values for cycle 21.

Weak Decays of Doubly-Heavy Tetraquarks ${b\bar c}{q\bar q}$

open access: yes, 2018
We study the weak decays of exotic tetraquark states ${b\bar c}{q\bar q}$ with two heavy quarks. Under the SU(3) symmetry for light quarks, these tetraquarks can be classified into an octet plus a singlet: $3\bigotimes\bar 3=1\bigoplus8$.

Searching for an EBL attenuation signature in the Fermi/LAT 1st year catalog data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Observations of distant sources of high-energy (HE) gamma-rays are affected by attenuation resulting from the interaction of the gamma-rays with low energy photons from the diffuse meta-galactic radiation fields at ultraviolet (UV) to infrared (IR ...

Improved potency of F10 relative to 5-fluorouracil in colorectal cancer cells with p53 mutations

open access: yesCancer Drug Resistance, 2018
Aim: Resistance to fluoropyrimidine drugs (FPs) is a major cause of mortality in colorectal cancer (CRC). We assessed the potency advantage of the polymeric FP F10 relative to 5-fluorouracil (5FU) in four human CRC cell lines that differ only in TP53 ...

HSP70 Interactome‐Mediated Proteolysis Targeting Chimera (HSP70‐PROTAC) for Ferroptosis‐Driven Cancer Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports a novel targeted protein degradation strategy termed “HSP70‐PROTAC” that recruits Hsc70 complex to a target protein for inducing degradation. Among them, GDAz‐3 exhibits effective GPX4 degradation activity via UPS/CMA processes, triggering ferroptosis‐driven anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo.
