Bioactive polyketides from the sea fan-derived fungus Penicillium citrinum PSU-F51
Tetrahedron, 2012Five new polyketides including two benzopyranones (1 and 2), one isochroman (3) and two anthraquinone-citrinin derivatives (4 and 5) were isolated from the sea fan-derived fungus Penicillium citrinum PSU-F51 together with thirteen known compounds. The structures were determined by spectroscopic methods.

The type and concentration of inorganic carbon and nitrogen sources were manipulated to improve cell growth and lutein productivity of Desmodesmus sp. F51. Using nitrate as nitrogen source, the better cell growth and lutein accumulation were obtained under 2.5% CO2 supply when compared to the addition of NaHCO3 or Na2CO3.

Introduction The paired-pulse transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is an effective and non-invasive way to assess cortical excitability. The threshold tracking TMS (TT-TMS) was developed to overcome the variability in motor evocated potentials (MEP) amplitude caused by traditional TMS methods.

Abstract In attached culture, concentrated cells are grown on the substratum, which makes the light adsorption mechanism quite different from those of suspended cultures. An energy conservation biofilm reactor based on capillary-effect was firstly introduced for attached culture of the thermotolerant microalga Desmodesmus sp. F51.

THE CHEMICAL-COMPOSITION OF THE HIGH-VELOCITY POST AGB STAR HD-56126(F51)
Astronomy & Astrophysics, 1992HD 56126 (F 5I) is an IRAS source with detached cold dust shell with characteristics similar to the dust shells around planetary nebuale. From an analysis of high resolution, high signal-to-noise ratio spectra using model atmospheres, metal and CNO abundances have been determined. It is found that in HD56126 [C/H] congruent-to -0.01, [N/H] congruent-to
