The Antitriangular Factorization of Saddle Point Matrices

open access: yes, 2014
Mastronardi and Van Dooren [SIAM J. Matrix Anal. Appl., 34 (2013), pp. 173-196] recently introduced the block antitriangular ("Batman") decomposition for symmetric indefinite matrices.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Bidiagonal factoring of Stirling matrices

open access: yesMaple Transactions
Stirling cycle numbers and Stirling partition numbers have many combinatorial applications. A symmetric matrix built from Stirling cycle numbers, which is known to be totally nonnegative, appears as https://oeis.org/A137854 in the Online Encyclopedia of Integer Sequences. In this paper we give analytical bidiagonal factorings of these matrices.

On Computing Normalized Coprime Factorizations of Rational Matrices

open access: yes, 1997
We propose a new computational approach based on descriptor state space algorithms to compute normalized coprime factorizations of rational ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Determinants, Norms, and the Spread of Circulant Matrices with Tribonacci and Generalized Lucas Numbers

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
Circulant matrices play an important role in solving ordinary and partial differential equations. In this paper, by using the inverse factorization of polynomial of degree n, the explicit determinants of circulant and left circulant matrix involving ...

Sparse block factorization of saddle point matrices

open access: yes, 2016
The factorization method presented in this paper takes advantage of the special structures and properties of saddle point matrices. A variant of Gaussian elimination equivalent to the Cholesky's factorization is suggested and implemented for factorizing ...

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Computation of General Inner-Outer and Spectral Factorizations

open access: yes, 2000
In this paper, we solve two problems in linear systems theory: the computation of the inner-outer and spectral factorizations of a continuous-time system considered in the most general setting.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.
