Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Improvements of a Failure Database for Marine Diesel Engines Using the RCM and Simulations
Diesel engines are widely used in marine transportation as a direct connection to the propeller and as electrical principal or auxiliary generator sets. The engine is the most critical piece of equipment on a vessel platform; therefore, the engine’ ...

Monitoring circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) in patients with operable breast cancer can reveal disease relapse earlier than radiology in a subset of patients. The failure to detect ctDNA in some patients with recurrent disease suggests that ctDNA could serve as a supplement to other monitoring approaches.

Detecting Data Integrity Failures [PDF]
All data in systems will contain integrity failures (errors). Their causes are legion and endemic. Their effect is random and sometimes disastrous. This paper sets out a basic theory of how these errors can be managed in a secure system. In summary the theory requires that processing and reporting programs contain error detection functionality and that

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...

Integrating Time Interval Petri Nets with fuzzy logic for enhanced failure monitoring and detection
This research introduces a novel approach to fault detection and diagnosis by integrating Fuzzy Logic with Time Interval Petri Nets (TIPNs) to generate Fuzzy Interval Petri Nets (FIPNs). The method offers a robust and adaptable solution for detecting and

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.
