A robust fault detection method of rolling bearings using modulation signal bispectrum analysis

open access: yes, 2015
Envelope analysis is a widely used method for bearing fault detection. To obtain high detection accuracy, it is critical to select an optimal narrowband for envelope demodulation.

Fault Identification Method of Ball Bearing Based on IAs and SVMs

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2016
In order to effectively identify the bearing running condition, this paper proposed a new method which combines local mean decomposition (LMD) and support vector machine (SVM) together for ball bearing fault identification.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

A Fault Diagnosis Method of Rotating Machinery Based on One-Dimensional, Self-Normalizing Convolutional Neural Networks

open access: yes, 2020
Aiming at the fault diagnosis issue of rotating machinery, a novel method based on the deep learning theory is presented in this paper. By combining one-dimensional convolutional neural networks (1D-CNN) with self-normalizing neural networks (SNN), the ...

A novel directional pilot protection method for EHV transmission lines based on S-transform and SVM

open access: yesDiscover Applied Sciences
To address the issues of insufficient reliability and low sensitivity of traveling-wave (TW)-based protection caused by fault condition attributes, i.e., fault resistance and fault angle, this paper proposes a novel directional pilot protection method ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Application of Power Spectrum, Cepstrum, Higher Order Spectrum and Neural Network Analyses for Induction Motor Fault Diagnosis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The power spectrum is defined as the square of the magnitude of the Fourier transform (FT) of a signal. The advantage of FT analysis is that it allows the decomposition of a signal into individual periodic frequency components and establishes the ...

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...
