Structure-Size Optimization and Fabrication of 3.7 GHz Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator Based on AlN Thin Film

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2021
Traditional radio frequency filters cannot meet the demands of miniaturization, high frequency operation, integration, and broadband capacity in new-generation communication system owing to their larger volumes. A thin film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR)

An FBAR Circulator [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, 2018
This letter presents the experimental demonstration of a film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) circulator at 2.5 GHz. The circulator is based on spatio-temporal modulation of the series resonant frequency of FBARs using varactors and exhibits a large isolation of 76 dB at 2.5 GHz.

A Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator-Based Sensor with AlN Piezoelectric Material for Detecting Ethanol and Acetone

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2022
Measurement of a volatile solution is essential for laboratory safety and hospital clinic safety. In this paper, we present an ethanol-sensing and acetone-sensing device using an AlN piezoelectric material-based film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR).

Design and Analysis of Wideband Ladder-Type Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonator Filters in Ku-Band

open access: yesActive and Passive Electronic Components, 2013
This paper presents the design of ladder-type filters based on film bulk acoustic wave resonator (FBAR) in Ku-band. The proposed FBAR filter has an insertion loss of −3 dB, out-of-band rejection of −12 dB and 3 dB bandwidth of 1.0 GHz from 15 GHz to 16 ...

Conformational Changes of Calmodulin on Calcium and Peptide Binding Monitored by Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators

open access: yesBiosensors, 2011
Film bulk acoustic resonators (FBAR) are mass sensitive, label-free biosensors that allow monitoring of the interaction between biomolecules. In this paper we use the FBAR to measure the binding of calcium and the CaMKII peptide to calmodulin.
