An Adaptive Five‐Element Array Antenna Based on Miniaturised Polarisation‐Insensitive Absorptive Metamaterial for Anti‐Jamming Applications

open access: yesIET Microwaves, Antennas &Propagation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
This paper investigates mutual coupling reduction in a five‐element antenna array with constrained aperture dimensions, focusing on polarisation‐insensitive absorptive wall‐type metamaterials for enhanced anti‐jamming performance. The absorptive‐metamaterials‐enhanced adaptive array offers significant advantages for miniaturised platforms and is well ...

One watt gallium arsenide class-E power amplifier with a thin-film bulk acoustic resonator filter embedded in the output network

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2015
Integration of a class-E power amplifier (PA) and a thin-film bulk acoustic wave resonator (FBAR) filter is shown to provide high power added efficiency in addition to superior out-of-band spectrum suppression.

Undulated cylinders of charged diblock copolymers

open access: yes, 2006
We study the cylinder to sphere morphological transition of diblock copolymers in aqueous solution with a hydrophobic block and a charged block. We find a metastable undulated cylinder configuration for a range of charge and salt concentrations which ...

ALPGEN, a generator for hard multiparton processes in hadronic collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
This paper presents a new event generator, ALPGEN, dedicated to the study of multiparton hard processes in hadronic collisions. The code performs, at the leading order in QCD and EW interactions, the calculation of the exact matrix elements for a large ...

Gain Enhancement and Ground Plane Immunity of Mechanically Driven Thin‐Film Bulk Acoustic Resonator Magnetoelectric Antenna Arrays

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 34, Issue 39, September 25, 2024.
Thin‐film bulk acoustic resonator(FBAR) magnetoelectric(ME) antenna arrays utilize magnetic dipoles for radiation, delivering superior gain, and efficiency. As array element increases, performance is boosted by enhanced magnetic moment, while maintaining impedance matching and quality factor.

Beyond Structural Stabilization of Highly‐Textured AlN Thin Films: The Role of Chemical Effects

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 11, Issue 25, September 3, 2024.
Metallic seed layers with low work function promote the growth of c‐axis oriented, crystalline AlN thin films. This study shows that the effect is predominantly structure‐agnostic and can be linked to a nitrogen termination of the seed metal layers prior to the AlN growth.
