ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Water Ice Cloud Feedbacks over the North Polar Residual Cap at Moderate Obliquity [PDF]
Several global climate modeling studies have now shown that water ice clouds can warm the surface 10s of K at moderate obliquities [1,2,3]. Significant greenhouse warming occurs because the predicted clouds are optically thick, the cloud particles are ...

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGIES IN LINE STRUCTURE ROUTING
Under study are two approaches to creating computer programs for computer-aided design of linear structures trails. The first approach, which realised in the existing CAD of linear structures, is not focused on the optimization of the design decisions ...

CDK11 inhibition stabilises the tumour suppressor p53 and triggers the production of an alternative p21WAF1 splice variant p21L, through the inactivation of the spliceosomal protein SF3B1. Unlike the canonical p21WAF1 protein, p21L is localised in the cytoplasm and has reduced cell cycle‐blocking activity.

Deforestation Could Push Amazonia Close to a Tipping Point Under Future Climate Change
We use a coupled land‐surface‐atmosphere single‐column model to examine the effects of deforestation and changed advective moisture flux (AMF) on the Amazonian system.

Irrigation experiments in the lab: trust, environmental variability, and collective action
Research on collective action and common-pool resources is extensive. However, little work has concentrated on the effect of variability in resource availability and collective action, especially in the context of asymmetric access to resources.
