Identification of fengycin homologues from Bacillus subtilis with ESI-MS/CID
Journal of Microbiological Methods, 2009Bacillus subtilis fmbJ (CGMCC no.0943) was used to produce lipopeptides antibiotics fengycin. The fengycin mixture was precipitated with 6N HCl and extracted by methanol. Electrospray ionization mass spectrometry/collision-induced dissociation (ESI-MS/CID) were used to analyze the fengycin mixture.

Purification of the fengycin synthetase multienzyme system from Bacillus subtilis b213
Journal of Chromatography B: Biomedical Sciences and Applications, 2000The purification of the multienzyme system producing the lipodecapeptide fengycin in Bacillus subtilis b213 was investigated. By gel filtration of a cell free extract of this organism three enzyme fractions were obtained from which five multifunctional components of fengycin synthetase were separated by high resolution anion-exchange FPLC procedures ...

In this work, the potential of Bacillus subtilis strain M4 at protecting plants against fungal diseases was demonstrated in different pathosystems. We provide evidence for the role of secreted lipopeptides, and more particularly of fengycins, in the protective effect afforded by the strain against damping-off of bean seedlings caused by Pythium ultimum

Effect of fructose on promoting fengycin biosynthesis inBacillus amyloliquefaciensfmb-60
Journal of Applied Microbiology, 2016To explore the influence of carbohydrates on the production of fengycin by Bacillus amyloliquefaciens fmb-60.Fermentation and gene expression levels were examined following culture supplementation with fructose, arabinose and sorbitol. Compared with other carbohydrates, fructose most efficiently increased the concentration of the essential component ...
