A new class of “super‐strained” spiro heterocycles—spirocyclic 1‐azabicyclo[1.1.0]butanes—was synthesized via insertion of cyclobutane‐, oxetane‐, and azetidine‐containing sulfonium reagents into substituted azirines. The stability of this new class of compounds was studied.

Assessment of fenofibrate-methylation interactions on triglycerides using longitudinal family data
Background Triglyceride (TG) concentrations decrease in response to fenofibrate treatment, and also are associated with DNA methylation. But how interactions between fenofibrate response and DNA methylation affect TGs remains unclear.

Systematic Review of the Huntington's Disease Drug Development Pipeline, 2014 to 2025
Abstract Background In the past decade, significant advances have improved our understanding of the mechanisms underlying HD pathobiology leading to several putative therapeutic targets for HD. Objective The aim was to describe the Huntington's disease (HD) drug development clinical pipeline.

Current Cell/Organoid and Animal Models for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis
Primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is a chronic cholestatic liver disease with limited therapeutic options and a marked risk of progression to biliary fibrosis, cirrhosis, and malignancy. Progress in PSC research has been hindered by the lack of models that faithfully recapitulate the complex biliary microenvironment and disease heterogeneity ...

A green and simple photo‐oxygenation of benzylic C‐H bond with molecular oxygen was developed for the preparation of a series of carbonyl compounds. The straightforward C‐H carbonylation strategy features catalyst‐ and additive‐free reaction conditions, only oxygen as a green oxidant, broad scope and scalable, and the simple‐operation nature.

Fenofibrate improves renal lipotoxicity through activation of AMPK-PGC-1α in db/db mice. [PDF]
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-α, a lipid-sensing transcriptional factor, serves an important role in lipotoxicity. We evaluated whether fenofibrate has a renoprotective effect by ameliorating lipotoxicity in the kidney. Eight-week-old

Among 200 patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis, 38% reported moderate to severe pruritus in the past 6 months. During 6 months of follow up, pruritus severity fluctuated significantly. Pruritus severity was linked to worse colitis activity and lower quality of life.
