Fibrinogen and fibrinogen/fibrin degradation products in experimental African trypanosomiasis
International Journal for Parasitology, 1974Abstract Fibrinogen and fibrinogen/fibrin degradation products in experimental African trypanosomiasis. International Journal for Parasitology4: 143–151. Studies have been carried out on some components of the fibrinolytic system of rabbits infected with two strains of Trypanosoma (Trypanozoon) brucei.

Precipitation of fibrinogen, fibrinogen degradation products and fibrin monomer by histone H3
Thrombosis Research, 1985Incubation of histone H3 with normal citrated plasma resulted in the formation of insoluble aggregates, as determined by turbidity measurements. The precipitate was subjected to sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis, confirming that fibrinogen was a major component.

Fibrin/Fibrinogen Degradation Products in Amniotic Fluid
Thrombosis and Haemostasis, 1975Fibrin/fibrinogen degradation products (F. D. P.) have been studied in amniotic fluid from normal pregnancies and in pregnancies complicated by hypertension, anencephaly, and hydramnios without foetal anomaly.Using the haemagglutination inhibition immunoassay, F. D. P.

Fibrinogen/Fibrin Degradation Products and Factor XIII
Acta Haematologica, 1974The effect of fibrinogen/fibrin degradation products (FDP) on the stabilisation of fibrin was tested in vitro by the clot solubility assay and by the transamidase assay of ...

Fibrinogen and Fibrin Degradation Products
1978Degradation of fibrinogen as of many protein molecules may be brought about either by physical and/or chemical agents, heat, extreme pH changes, reduction of disulfide bridges, treatment with cyanogen bromide, etc., or by the action of various enzymes.

Fibrinogen and Fibrin Degradation Products in Hemolytic Transfusion Reactions
Transfusion, 1970Three patients who received incompatible transfusions are reported. Two developed a generalized bleeding diathesis and died. Clotting studies showed disseminated intravascular coagulation. Fibrinogen and fibrin split products were found in extremely high amounts as a result of secondary activation of the fibrinolytic system following the intravascular ...

Acrylamide Gel Electrophoresis of Fibrinogen and Fibrin Degradation Products
British Journal of Haematology, 1971Summary. Thin layer two phase acrylamide gel electrophoresis was used for separation of fibrinogen and fibrin degradation products which were subsequently quantitated by scanning. The use of 6 m urea in the spacer gel greatly improved separation. Three main fibrinogen fragments X, Y and D and minor fragments E1, E2 and E3 were identified.

URINARY FIBRIN/FIBRINOGEN DEGRADATION PRODUCTS (FDP) AND GLOMERULONEPHRITIS
Acta Medica Scandinavica, 1974Abstract.In concentrated 24‐hour urine from 24 patients with incipient glomerulonephritis without uraemia the fibrin/fibrinogen degradation products (FDP) have been studied. In 18 of 19 patients with proliferative glomerulonephritis high molecular weight degradation products (HMWDP) were found, while one patient had D and E products probably due to ...

False-negative Test for Fibrinogen–Fibrin Degradation Products
American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1977The tanned red cell hemagglutination inhibition immunoassay has proved to be a sensitive test for the measurement of fibrinogen-fibrin degradation products (FDP-fdp). The case of a patient who initially had a negative test for FDP-fdp due to the presence of an anti-D antibody and the use of O-positive tanned erythrocytes in the hemagglutination ...
