Characterization of the Components and Functional Properties of a Plasma-Derived Fibrin Sealant
Background The activity and purity of Fibrin Sealant Grifols are described in this article. This fibrin sealant contains two components (fibrinogen and thrombin) that mimic the final stages of clotting. Fibrin sealants are primarily used as an adjunct to

Influence of fibrin, fibrinogen and fibrinogen degradation products on cultured endothelial cells
Thin films of a fibrin-agar mixture induced significant morphological changes in porcine aortic endothelial cells in vitro. The cells became spindle shaped, piled up and consequently the intercellular spaces widened. These morphological changes became more significant with higher concentrations of fibrin.

Prediction of Arterial Extravasation in Pelvic Fracture Patient with Stable Hemodynamics Using Coagulation Biomarkers: A Prospective Observational Cohort Study. [PDF]
Intoduction: In patients who are hemodynamically stable, thrombosis indicators including fibrin degradation products (FDP), D-dimer, prothrombin time-international normalized ratio (PT-INR), along with the FDP-to-fibrinogen proportion may be capable ...

DR-70 (fibrinogen-fibrin degradation products) as a prognostic biomarker in dogs with neoplasms
Fibrinogen–fibrin degradation products (DR-70) are derived from tumor cells or metastases. Our previous study reported the diagnostic values in dogs with tumors, but no research has yet to be conducted to establish DR-70 as a prognostic marker.

Evaluation of hematologic and coagulation changes associated with hyperfibrinolysis in feline acute trauma. [PDF]
Objectives: This study investigates the hypothesis that hyperfibrinolysis may occur in cats with acute trauma, leading to alterations in hematological, biochemical, and coagulation parameters, particularly in severe cases.

FIBRIN AND FIBRINOGEN DEGRADATION PRODUCTS IN MALIGNANCY [PDF]
Sixty four patients of cancer, comprising of 39 leukaemia, 8 lymphomas and 17 cases of solid tumours were included in this study. Quantitative estimation of FDP, fibrinogen and platelets were done in all. Elevated levels of FDP (≥ 10 µgm/mL) were found in 29 patients.
